Lucha Underground (season 3)
The third season of '' Lucha Underground'', a '' lucha libre'' or professional wrestling television show, began on September 7, 2016. The third season, just like the first and second was broadcast on the El Rey Network in the United States. The producers of Lucha Underground announced the season debut of the third season on July 29, 2016 just over a week after '' Ultima Lucha Dos'', the last episode of season two had aired on the El Rey Network. All wrestling matches for the show were filmed at the ''Lucha Underground'' Temple" set in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles, California between March and June, 2016. This season includes 40 episodes, more than either of the previous seasons, therefore pushing Lucha Underground to a total of 105 episodes. El Rey Network
El Rey Network (Spanish for ''The King'') is a media brand founded by Robert Rodriguez on December 15, 2013, that is currently owned in a joint venture with FactoryMade Ventures. Lucha Underground Championship
The Lucha Underground Championship was a professional wrestling world championship owned by the Lucha Underground. The championship is the top championship of the promotion and is generally contested in professional wrestling matches, in which participants execute scripted finishes rather than in direct competition. The championship was introduced in episode 8 ("A Unique Opportunity") taped on October 4, 2014, and broadcast on December 17, 2014, with the first champion being determined on episode 9 ("Aztec Warfare") which was taped on October 5, 2014, and broadcast on television on January 7, 2015. Martin Casaus (born March 5, 1985) is an American professional wrestler. Casaus is known for his work in El Rey Network series ''Lucha Underground'' under the ring name of Marty "The Moth" Martinez, where he is a former Lucha Underground Champion. Personal life Martin was born March 5, 1985 to Francis and Cheryl Casaus in West Jordan, Utah. Casaus was a four sport student athlete in high school and turned down college scholarships in lacrosse and football to pursue his academic studies. His parents put in overtime at their jobs so they could enroll Casaus in private schools until college. Casaus was the first in his family to graduate college.
