Lost Creek is an affluent upper-middle-class neighborhood and census-designated place (CDP) of approximately 4,500 people in Travis County, Texas, United States. The census tract is bordered by Capital of Texas Highway to the east, Barton Creek to the south, Barton Creek Boulevard to the west, and Bee Caves Road to the north. The Lost Creek CDP encompasses several small neighborhoods—Parkstone, Woods of Westlake, Camelot, and Knollwood—as well as the largest and most populous Lost Creek neighborhood. The neighborhood is named after a secluded section of Barton Creek away from more popular portions downstream that include Barton Springs and Zilker Park. Suburban residential development began in the late 1970s and continued for over three decades. Lost Creek is almost completely built-out. Barton Springs
Barton Springs is a set of four natural water springs located at Barton Creek on the grounds of Zilker Park in Austin, Texas, resulting from water flowing through the Edwards Aquifer. The largest spring, Main Barton Spring (also known as Parthenia, "the mother spring") supplies water to Barton Springs Pool, a popular recreational destination in Austin. The smaller springs are located nearby, two with man-made structures built to contain and direct their flow. The springs are the only known habitat of the Barton Springs Salamander, an endangered species. The Barton Creek National Archeological and Historic District was formed in 1985. Westlake High School (Texas)
Westlake High School is a public high school in unincorporated territory of Travis County, Texas, west of and adjacent to Austin. The school is a part of the Eanes Independent School District. Westlake High School is the only high school in the Eanes ISD and serves West Lake Hills, Rollingwood, parts of Southwest Austin, as well as parts of unincorporated Travis County. Eanes Independent School District (EISD) ( ) is a school district headquartered in unincorporated Travis County, Texas ( USA), in Greater Austin. Its enrollment is about 7,814 students, distributed among six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school.
