Neville Longbottom is a fictional character in J. K. Rowling's ''Harry Potter'' book series. He is described as a round-faced Gryffindor student in the central character Harry Potter's year. Maurice Longbottom (born 30 January 1995) is an Australian rugby league and rugby union player who played his first game for the Australia national rugby sevens team at the 2018 Sydney Sevens tournament of the World Rugby Sevens Series. Longbottom played some matches for the South Sydney Rabbitohs junior squad, but was described as "too small for senior footy". Longbottom's performance in the Oktoberfest Sevens drew the attention of Australia rugby sevens team coach Andy Friend. William Radley Longbottom (born 12 December 1998) is an English footballer who plays as a forward for National League North club Bradford (Park Avenue). Career Longbottom made his first team debut for Doncaster Rovers on 8 May 2016, coming on as a second-half substitute for Richard Chaplow in a home League One match against Burton Albion at the Keepmoat Stadium. Charles Brooke Longbottom (22 July 1930 – 5 February 2013) was a British barrister, businessman and Conservative politician. In his later years his interest turned to Christian healing and education. Julia Longbottom (born 13 July 1963) is a British diplomat and the current Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Japan since March 2021. She is the first woman ambassador to represent the United Kingdom in Tokyo. Arthur Longbottom (footballer)
Arthur Langley (born Arthur Longbottom; 30 January 1933) is an English former footballer. An inside-forward, he scored 107 goals in 330 league appearances in an eleven-year career in the bottom two divisions of the Football League. He changed his surname from Longbottom to Langley after his retirement from football. He spent 1954 to 1961 at Queens Park Rangers, before he was sold on to Port Vale in May 1961 for a £2,000 fee. He was sold on to Millwall for another £2,000 in January 1963, before joining Oxford United in the summer. He transferred to Colchester United in October 1964, and then moved into non-league football with Scarborough in May 1965. Though he never won any honours and was never promoted, he finished as top-scorer at QPR, Port Vale, and Oxford United. Kevin Longbottom
Kevin Longbottom (23 December 1940 – 13 January 1986) was an Aboriginal Australian professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1960s. Longbottom was known by the nickname "Lummy" and was renowned for his long-range goal kicking, sometimes even kicking goals from further than the halfway line. A large, barrel-chested man, he won a premiership with the South Sydney Rabbitohs in 1967, and played on the 1965 team that were runners up. He played Fullback for most of his career. Longbottom initially forced his way into first grade when full-back Darrel Chapman became injured. He kicked a conversion in South Sydney's win over Canterbury in the 1967 Grand final that should have resulted in a 14–10 win.
