Live Facelift
''Live Facelift'' is a concert video and live album by the American Rock music, rock band Alice in Chains, originally released on VHS on July 30, 1991, containing live footage of songs from their debut album, ''Facelift (album), Facelift'', recorded at Moore Theatre (Seattle, Washington), The Moore Theatre in Seattle on December 22, 1990. The video has been certified gold by the RIAA with excess sales of 50,000 copies. ''Live Facelift'' was released on Phonograph record, vinyl for the first time on November 25, 2016, as part of Record Store Day's Black Friday event. Only 5000 copies were issued. On September 15, 2017, the concert was released on red vinyl on a limited edition of only 1000 copies, each coming with a special commemorative poster. Record Store Day
Record Store Day is an annual event inaugurated in 2007 and held on one Saturday (typically the third) every April and every Black Friday in November to "celebrate the culture of the independently owned record store". The day brings together fans, artists, and thousands of independent record stores around the world. A number of records are pressed specifically for Record Store Day, with a list of releases for each country, and are only distributed to shops participating in the event. The bass guitar, electric bass or simply bass (), is the lowest-pitched member of the string family. "Sea of Sorrow" is a song by the American rock band Alice in Chains, featured on their debut full-length album ''Facelift'' (1990). The song was included on the compilation album ''The Essential Alice in Chains'' (2006). A demo version of the song was included on the box set '' Music Bank'' (1999). Release and reception "Sea of Sorrow" peaked at number 27 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. "Sea of Sorrow" was a moderate success and is still occasionally played on alternative rock radio stations. Ned Raggett of AllMusic said that the song "showed that even as a fairly young group Alice in Chains wanted to fool around with expectations at least a bit" and that "just about every member gets a little moment of flair on the track." Sean Kinney
Sean Howard Kinney (born May 27, 1966) is an American musician, best known as the drummer and co-founder of the rock band Alice in Chains. Kinney also founded the short-lived supergroup Spys4Darwin, and has collaborated with other artists such as Johnny Cash and Metallica. He played drums for his Alice in Chains bandmate, Jerry Cantrell's first solo album, ''Boggy Depot'' (1998). Since 2009, Kinney has been co-owner of the Crocodile club in Seattle. He was a guest drummer on NBC's ''Late Night with Seth Meyers'' in September 2018. Kinney has earned nine Grammy Award nominations as a member of Alice in Chains. Mike Starr (musician)
Michael Christopher Starr (April 4, 1966 – March 8, 2011) was an American musician best known as the original bassist for the rock band Alice in Chains, with which he played from the band's formation in 1987 until January 1993. He was also a member of Sato, Gypsy Rose, Sun Red Sun and Days Of The New. In 2011, Starr died of a prescription drug overdose at the age of 44. Career In 1983, Starr formed the heavy metal band Sato. Their song "Leather Warrior" appeared on ''Northwest Metalfest'', a compilation album featuring various metal acts released in 1984 by Seattle label Ground Zero Records.
