This is a list of monuments and memorials dedicated to the National Liberation Movement (Yugoslavia), National Liberation Movement, its fighters and its victims in the World War II in Yugoslavia, built on the territory of the present day Serbia, including those in the autonomous provinces of Vojvodina and Kosovo and Metohija. This list does not include busts or other statues of individuals (#See also, see bottom). History The Yugoslav authorities established several memorial sites between 1945 and 1960, though widespread building started after the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement. Yugoslav president Josip Broz Tito commissioned several memorial sites and monuments in the 1960s and 70s dedicated to World War II battle, and concentration camp sites. Kadinjača
Kadinjača is a village, fourteen kilometers from the city of Užice, Serbia, on the route of the highway Užice – Bajina Bašta. It is famous for its memorial of Kadinjača. Besides the beautiful nature, Kadinjača can boast success in the production of potatoes, raspberries and a good plum brandy. The locals of that region are largely related to the city of Užice in which many employees by companies Užice. Tomb Of People's Heroes, Belgrade
Tomb of People's Heroes ( sr, Гробница народних хероја, Grobnica narodnih heroja) in Belgrade is located underneath the walls of the Belgrade Fortress. It holds the remains of four recipients of the Order of the People's Hero of SFR Yugoslavia. It was built in 1948. Remains of Ivo Lola Ribar (1916–1943) and Ivan Milutinović (1901–1944) were buried there on 29 March 1948. Remains of Đuro Đaković (1886–1929) were buried on the 20th anniversary of his death on 29 April 1949. Moša Pijade (1890–1957) was buried in the tomb in March 1957. Stevan Bodnarov, a sculptor from Belgrade, designed the busts of Ivo Lola Ribar, Ivan Milutinović and Đuro Đaković in 1949. The bust of Moša Pijade was designed by Slavoljub Stanković in 1959. Gornji Milanovac
Gornji Milanovac ( sr-Cyrl, Гoрњи Милановац, ) is a town and municipality located in the Moravica District of central Serbia. The population of the town is 24,216, while the population of the municipality is 44,406. The town was founded in 1853. Before 1859 the original name of the town was Despotovica ( sr-Cyrl, Деспотовица), after the Despotovica river passing by the town. In 1859 the name was changed to Gornji Milanovac at the request of the Prince of Serbia Miloš Obrenović. Its name means ''Upper Milanovac'' (there is a Lower Milanovac as well, while Milanovac stems from the name Milan in Serbian).
