Ros Childs (born 1967) is an English-born TV journalist based in Australia, with a focus on business matters. After working primarily in her native UK for the ITV Network, Childs moved to Australia and joined the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) as a newsreader. Career United Kingdom Childs began her career as a print journalist with the ''Financial Times''. Subsequently, she was employed at CNBC Europe as a reporter and presenter. She was best known as the business correspondent for ITV News as well as the lunchtime and weekend news presenter. Weekend Sunrise
''Weekend Sunrise'' is an Australian breakfast television program, broadcast on the Seven Network and currently hosted by Monique Wright and Matt Doran. History In 2005 the Seven Network replaced its struggling Sunday morning program ''Sunday Sunrise'' with a program called ''Weekend Sunrise'', as an extension of the weekday brand. It originally was an hour-long (8 am – 9 am). Hosted by Chris Reason and Lisa Wilkinson, the program was successful and various critiques at the time called for the program to be lengthened to two hours (7:00 am – 9:00 am) and be extended to Saturday mornings as well as Sunday. Head of Morning TV’s Adam Boland’s intention was always to have the show across both days (hence the name), but news boss Peter Meakin talked him into just starting with Sundays given families usually were usually out doing sport on Saturdays. Georgie Gardner (born 1 June 1970) is an Australian television and news presenter and journalist. Gardner is currently weekend presenter on '' Nine News Sydney.'' She has previously been a co-host and news presenter on the Nine Network's breakfast program ''Today''. Peter John Overton, (born 5 April 1966) is an Australian television journalist and news presenter. He is currently the presenter for Nine News Sydney from Sunday to Thursday at 6 pm. Early life and family Born in England, Overton moved to Australia at age two after his parents returned home to the country. He grew up in Longueville, a suburb on the Lower North Shore of Sydney. He went to Lane Cove Public School and North Sydney Boys High School. He graduated with a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University. He also played the tuba whilst at Lane Cove Public School. Matt Shirvington (born 25 October 1978) is an Australian athlete and television presenter who held the Australian 100m national sprint title from 1998 to 2002. Shirvington is the third fastest Australian sprinter of all time. He qualified for the 100m semi-finals in Sydney 2000, finishing 5th. Shirvington is currently a sport presenter on '' Seven News Sydney'' and host of ''Sydney Weekender.''
