Collectible Miniature Game
Collectible miniatures games (CMGs) are a form of miniatures game that is also similar to collectible card games (CCGs) — the primary difference being that while CCGs are card-based games, CMGs feature miniature figures. A popular theme for CMGs are strategy wargames, since games of that genre typically feature miniatures such as: soldiers, vehicles, etc. Miniature wargames have been around for a long time, but the idea of a ''collectible'' miniature wargame is recent. In a conventional miniature game, players purchase the miniatures they want and generally invest time in assembling, painting, and often customizing the figures to their liking. CMGs were designed to appeal to those who would enjoy the game aspect but not necessarily the hobby aspect of miniature gaming. CMGs tend to cover a more diverse range of topics than traditional wargames (which generally are fantasy, sci-fi, or historical in theme), and certain games, such as Dreamblade are even somewhat abstract in nat ... Monsterpocalypse
''Monsterpocalypse'' is a Kaiju-themed collectible miniatures game which is published by Privateer Press. Released series include ''Rise'', ''I Chomp NY'', ''All Your Base'', ''Monsterpocalypse Now'' and the current series ''Big in Japan''. A Voltron-themed set was released in 2010 as a Standalone set. In 2010, Privateer Press moved from a purely random format to a new system for their new two-player boxed sets. Each set comprising two random factions. With each faction having a fixed set of minis with the only other random element being that tone of the packed monsters from a fixed set of two possible figures. In 2011, Privateer Press released the DMZ series of faction-specific boxed sets with a fixed set of figures in each. In fall 2018 the game was rebooted with streamlined rules and new, larger figures are sold unpainted to allow players to customize them. WarChest
''Warchest'' is a box set from the American heavy metal band Megadeth. ''Warchest'' features five discs (4 CD + DVD) and features studio tracks, demos and live recordings of a number of the band's songs from its first ten studio albums and rarities EP. The box set was released on October 9, 2007 by EMI/Capitol Records, and sold around 1,100 copies in the United States in its first week. While the content on discs 1–3 is assorted, disc 4 was recorded live at Wembley Arena, London, England, on October 14, 1990. The "Clash Of The Titans Tour" also featured Suicidal Tendencies, Anthrax and Slayer during the European leg. Disc 5 is a DVD, and features a concert recorded at Hammersmith Odeon, London, England, on September 30, 1992. ''Star Wars Miniatures'' is a 34mm scale collectible miniatures tabletop game based on the '' Star Wars'' fictional universe that was produced by Wizards of the Coast. The game was originally released in September 2004 and continued production until May 2010. ''Star Wars Miniatures'' players build point-based squads from one of ten different in-universe factions then conduct battles between those squads. The Star Wars Epic Duels board game was released by Hasbro in 2002. It was designed for ages 8 and up, and for 2-6 players. The main designer of the game was Craig Van Ness, with assistance from Rob Daviau. It is out of print. Characters There are 12 major characters in the game, and each major character is accompanied by one or two minor characters. ''Shadowrun Duels'' is a collectible miniatures game published by WizKids in 2003 that was based on the Shadowrun role-playing game originally produced by FASA Corporation. Description In 2002, WizKids won three awards at the Origins Awards for their HeroClix system, a series of 28 mm miniatures mounted on a rotating dial that could track the changing statistics of the figure. They proved popular, and the following year, WizKids released ''Shadowrun Duels'', a collectible miniatures game using a similar rotating dial system, but with much larger 6" ( 1:12 scale) figurines that were molded by Plan B Toys. The Pirates Constructible Strategy Game is a tabletop game manufactured by WizKids, Inc., with aspects of both miniatures game and collectible card game genres. "Pirates of the Spanish Main" (the initial release of the ''Pirates'' line) is the world's first " constructible strategy game," referring to the mechanics of creating game pieces from components that punch out of styrene cards. The game was created by Jordan Weisman and designed by Mike Mulvihill, Ethan Pasternack, James Ernest, and Mike Selinker. It was released in early July 2004.
