Lionel Rose
Lionel Edmund Rose MBE (21 June 1948 – 8 May 2011) was an Australian former professional boxer who competed from 1964 to 1976. He held the undisputed WBA, WBC, and ''The Ring'' bantamweight titles from 1968 to 1969, becoming the first Indigenous Australian to win a world title. He later became the first Indigenous Australian to be named Australian of the Year. Rose was the 2003 inductee for the Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame "moderns" category and was the second person to be elevated to "legend" status in 2010. Background Born and raised at Jacksons Track in Victoria as well as the town of Warragul, Rose grew up in hardship and learned to box from his father, Roy, who was a skilled fighter at local house shows. Fighting Harada
Masahiko Harada (born April 5, 1943), better known as Fighting Harada, is a Japanese former professional boxer. He is a world champion in two weight classes, having held the NYSAC, WBA, and ''The Ring'' undisputed flyweight titles from 1962 to 1963 and the WBA, WBC, and ''The Ring'' undisputed bantamweight titles from 1965 and 1968. He is currently the president of the Japanese boxing association. Harada was arguably one of Japan's most popular boxers; his fame reached international status, and Puerto Rico's Wilfredo Gómez declared that Harada was his idol as a child. Rocky Gattellari
Rocco Gattellari (6 September 1941 – 23 June 2023) was an Italian-Australian boxer, Olympian, political candidate and businessman. He was the 2010 Inductee for the Australian National Boxing Hall of Fame Veterans category. Olympic Games Gattellari was selected in the Australian team for the 1960 Summer Olympics in Rome, Italy. He defeated Abdelkader Belghiti from Morocco before losing to eventual gold medalist Gyula Török from Hungary. Professional career Gattellari made his professional debut on 18 September 1961. On 26 February 1962 he won the Australian flyweight championship title, which he defended twice. On 2 December 1965 he contested the world flyweight title, losing to Salvatore Burruni in the 13th round.
