Lion City Sailors F.C.
Lion City Sailors Football Club, commonly referred to as The Sailors or LCS, is a Singaporean professional football club competing in the Singapore Premier League, the top tier of the Singapore football league system. Since the 2021 season, the team have played their home games at Jalan Besar Stadium. LCS is one of the most successful football clubs in Singapore, with its club owner being Forrest Li, who also owns Sea Ltd. In 2021, the club smashed the league transfer history with a record S$3 million signing of Diego Lopes. History The Police Sports Association was founded in 1945 to organize football activities for the Singapore Police Force. Jalan Besar Stadium
Jalan Besar Stadium, officially the Jalan Besar ActiveSG Stadium, is a football stadium located in Kallang, Singapore. The stadium is part of the Jalan Besar Sports and Recreation Centre, a community sports facility that includes the stadium as well as a swimming complex. It is the home ground of the Singapore Premier League club Young Lions. The stadium is also used as an alternative home ground to the National Stadium by the Singapore national football team. Bishan Stadium
Bishan Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Bishan, Singapore. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium was constructed in 1998 and is managed by Sport Singapore. The public can use the facilities from 4:30 am to 8:30 pm daily unless it is exclusively booked for a sporting event. An indoor sports hall with facilities for badminton, table tennis and gymnastics lies adjacent to the stadium. Kim Shin-wook (; ; born 14 April 1988) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a striker for Singapore Premier League club Lion City Sailors and the South Korea national team. Club career Ulsan Hyundai Kim spent his youth training either as a central defender or a defensive midfielder, but upon suggestion by his manager, he changed his position into a forward a few weeks after signing his first professional contract with Ulsan Hyundai. Pedro Henrique Pereira da Silva (born 18 December 1992), simplyknown as Pedro Henrique or Pedrão, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Singapore Premier League club Lion City Sailors. Club career Pedrão began his career in 2010 with Goiás. He was loaned to Trindade and twice to Aparecidense in the following years. The Asian Football Confederation is the governing body of association football, beach soccer, and futsal in some countries/territories in Asia and Oceania. It has 47 member countries most of which are located in Asia. Australia, formerly in OFC, joined AFC in 2006. 2022 AFC Champions League
The 2022 AFC Champions League is the 41st edition of Asia's premier club football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the 20th under the current AFC Champions League title. This season is officially the last season in an all-year-round (spring-to-autumn) schedule despite actually being held from 2022 to 2023; from next season onwards the competitions will switch to an autumn-to-spring schedule. The winners of the tournament will automatically qualify for the 2023–24 AFC Champions League, entering the qualifying play-offs, if they have not qualified through their domestic performance.
