Lillehammer IK
Lillehammer Ishockeyklubb is an ice hockey club based in Nestan, Norway and playing in the GET-ligaen. Home games are played in Eidsiva Arena (Kristins Hall), and occasionally in Håkons Hall. History Founded on 2 November 1957, Lillehammer IK was a pioneer of ice hockey in the northern areas of eastern Norway. Playing under difficult conditions on natural ice for the first thirty years, success was limited to the odd foray into the second tier of the hockey league. However, they produced some fine talents, two of them brothers Arne and Lars Bergseng, who went on to become two of the best players in the first division during the 1980s. The big break for the hockey club was Lillehammer's candidacy for the 1994 Winter Olympics. In this process the Kristins Hall hockey arena was built and opened in 1988. Hamar is a town in Hamar Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway. Hamar is the administrative centre of Hamar Municipality. It is located in the traditional region of Hedmarken. Columbus Blue Jackets
The Columbus Blue Jackets (often simply referred to as the Jackets) are a professional ice hockey team based in Columbus, Ohio. They compete in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a member of the Metropolitan Division in the Eastern Conference, and began play as an expansion team in 2000. The Blue Jackets struggled in their initial years, failing to win 30 games in a season until 2005–06. The team qualified for the Stanley Cup playoffs for the first time in 2009, but were swept by the Detroit Red Wings. The regular season began play on September 14, 2013 and concluded on March 4, 2014, with Vålerenga claiming the League Championship in the last match, defeating Stavanger Oilers 7–1. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. Aleksander Prince Fredrik Ramprecht Reichenberg (born June 13, 1992) is a Norwegian professional ice hockey forward currently playing for IK Oskarshamn in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL) and for the Norwegian national team. Playing career While born in Mora, Sweden, Reichenberg began his professional career with hometown club, Lillehammer IK in the GET-ligaen (GET) during the 2008–09 season. After playing two seasons with rival club Storhamar Ishockey and moving abroad for the 2017–18 season with HC Sparta Praha of the Czech Extraliga (ELH), Reichenberg returned to Lillehammer on 1 September 2018. In the 2018–19 season, Reichenberg compiled 12 points in just 10 games with Lillehammer before leaving on loan for the remainder of the season to join Swedish outfit, Färjestad BK of the SHL, on 16 December 2018. Stavanger Ishockeyklubb, commonly referred to as Stavanger Oilers, is a Norwegian ice hockey team based in Stavanger, Norway. They currently play in the Fjordkraftligaen, which is the top division in Norwegian ice hockey. As of 2018, it is the only team in the league from western Norway. The Oilers play their home matches in DNB Arena. History Stavanger Oilers were established as a company team by Finnish expatriate workers in 2000. The Swedish Hockey League (officially SHL; sv, Svenska Hockeyligan) is a professional ice hockey league, and the highest division in the Swedish ice hockey system. The league currently consists of 14 teams. The league was founded in 1975, and while Swedish ice hockey champions have been crowned through various formats since 1922, the title and the Le Mat Trophy have been awarded to the winner of the SHL playoffs since the league's inaugural 1975–76 season. Modo Hockey (or MoDo with uppercase letters) is a professional ice hockey club in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The team plays in Sweden's second-tier league HockeyAllsvenskan. The club was founded in 1987 and has won one SHL championships; in 2007. The team's home arena since 2006 is the Hägglunds Arena (previously known as ''Fjällräven Center'' and ''Swedbank Arena'').
