Lights Out (Glee)
"Lights Out" is the twentieth episode of the fourth season of the American musical television series '' Glee'', and the eighty-sixth episode overall. Written by Ryan Murphy and directed by Paris Barclay, it aired on Fox in the United States on April 25, 2013, and features the return of special guest star Sarah Jessica Parker as Isabelle Wright. Plot Glee club director Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) finds out that the lead singer of rival glee club The Hoosierdaddies is Frida Romero (Jessica Sanchez), a young woman with a powerful voice. A power outage at McKinley High School prompts Will to assign the club to perform "unplugged", as he believes the glee club has become too reliant on electronic instruments. Jacob Artist (born October 17, 1992) is an American actor, singer, and dancer. He is best known for his roles as Jake Puckerman on the Fox musical comedy-drama series '' Glee'' and as Brandon Fletcher on the ABC drama-thriller series '' Quantico''. Early life Artist was born in Buffalo, New York to Darrell and Judith Artist, and grew up in Williamsville, New York. His father is African American, while his mother is of Polish descent. Kitty Wilde is a fictional character from the Fox musical comedy-drama series '' Glee''. The character is portrayed by actress Becca Tobin, and appeared for the first time during the first episode of the fourth season, " The New Rachel", first broadcast on September 13, 2012. Rebecca Grace Tobin (born January 18, 1986) is an American actress, singer, and dancer. She is known for her role as Kitty Wilde on the Fox musical comedy-drama series '' Glee''. Early life Tobin grew up in Marietta, Georgia, the younger of two daughters. Both of her parents were attorneys. Her father is Jewish. Tobin's first acting performance was at age four, when she played a Christmas tree in her school's holiday pageant. Unique Adams is a fictional character from the Fox musical comedy-drama series '' Glee'' who first appeared in "Saturday Night Glee-ver", the sixteenth episode of the show's third season. Marley Rose is a fictional character from the Fox musical comedy-drama series '' Glee''. The character is portrayed by actress Melissa Benoist, and has appeared in ''Glee'' since the premiere of the fourth season, " The New Rachel", first broadcast on September 13, 2012. Marley is a shy, unambitious wallflower who is the daughter of McKinley High's cafeteria lady, and aspires to be a singer on radio rather than be on Broadway. The character was created by Ryan Murphy as a means to create a character that had the talent of Rachel Berry but a different personality and aspirations.
