Liaoning Finance And Trade College
Liaoning Finance and Trade College (), formerly known as Shenyang Shifan University Bohai College, is a small, partially walled private undergraduate college located on the Liaodong Bay of the Bohai coast in Xingcheng, southwest of Huludao in Liaoning province on the east coast of China. Academic year The college's academic term is the semester. New students start arriving at the end of August each year and complete a few weeks of compulsory military training before beginning their studies. Returning students arrive to resume classes at the beginning of September. The Fall semester ends at the beginning of January. The Spring semester starts at the beginning of March and ends at the beginning of July. A few national holidays are observed each semester. Students typically spend the last week of each semester sitting exams. After exams are finished the students are required to vacate their dorms until the following semester. Liaodong Bay
Liaodong Bay () is largest and longest of the three main bays (along with Laizhou Bay to the south and the Bohai Bay to the southwest) of the Bohai Sea, the innermost gulf of the Yellow Sea. Although named after the Liaodong Peninsula (which forms its eastern shore), the bay is located directly south of the Liaoxi region, almost entirely west of the Liao River. It is bounded by the coastline of cities from southern Liaoning province (Dalian, Yingkou, Panjin, Jinzhou and Huludao) and eastern Hebei province (Qinhuangdao and Tangshan), between the Laotieshan Cape at Dalian's Lüshunkou District in the east, and the Daqing River estuary (which is an old southern mouth of Luan River) at Tangshan's Laoting County in the west. The Bohai Sea () is a marginal sea approximately in area on the east coast of Mainland China. It is the northwestern and innermost extension of the Yellow Sea, to which it connects to the east via the Bohai Strait. Xingcheng
Xingcheng (), former name Ningyuan (), is a county-level city of southwest Liaoning province, China, with a population of approximately 140,000 urban inhabitants, and is located on the Liaodong Bay, i.e. the northern coast of the Bohai Sea. Currently under the administration of Huludao City, the area is steeped in history, and contains one of the best preserved Ming Dynasty towns in China, as well as functioning as a laidback summer resort. Historical Importance Xingcheng has a long and distinguished history, and was established as a county as far back as the Liao Dynasty in CE 990. After being dissolved by the Yuan, it was resurrected during the Ming Dynasty under the name Ningyuan, and gained strategic importance as the first defensive outpost outside the Great Wall. Huludao
Huludao (), formerly known as Jinxi () until 1994, is a coastal prefecture-level city in southwestern Liaoning province, People's Republic of China. Its name literally means "Gourd Island", referring to the fiddle-shaped contour of the peninsula ("half-island" in Chinese), which resembles a bottle gourd, at the city's Longgang District, Huludao, Longgang District. Liaoning () is a coastal province in Northeast China that is the smallest, southernmost, and most populous province in the region.
