Liangjiang New Area
Liangjiang, officially known as Liangjiang New Area (), is a state-level new area situated in the municipality of Chongqing, China. The area covers 1,205 square kilometres combining part of Jiangbei District, Yubei District, and Beibei District. Overview After Shanghai's Pudong New Area and Tianjin's Binhai New Area, China's only inland and third sub-provincial new area – Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area – was set up with the approval of the State Council on June 16, 2010, the 13th anniversary since Chongqing became China's fourth municipality. Yubei District
Yubei District (), literally meaning ''the north of Yu'' (with ''Yu'' being an abbreviation for Chongqing), is a district of Chongqing municipality, bordering Sichuan province to the north. Binhai, officially known as Binhai New Area (), is a sub-provincial district and state-level new area within the jurisdiction of Tianjin Municipality in the People's Republic of China. Binhai is intended to replicate development seen in Shenzhen and Pudong in Shanghai. Geography Binhai is located on the west coast of the Bohai Sea and east of Tianjin's main urban area. Pudong
Pudong is a district of Shanghai located east of the Huangpu, the river which flows through central Shanghai. The name ''Pudong'' was originally applied to the Huangpu's east bank, directly across from the west bank or Puxi, the historic city center. It now refers to the broader Pudong New Area, a state-level new area which extends all the way to the East China Sea.
