Levante FC
Levante Football Club was a football club in Valencia, Spain. It was a predecessor of current Levante UD. History The club was founded in 1909 as "Levante Football Club". In 1939 Levante FC and Gimnástico FC merged into " Levante Unión Deportiva". Levante UD thus having origin since, at least, 1909 from both merged teams, Levante FC and Gimnástico FC. Today, Levante UD is the most senior football club in Valencia. Local rival team Valencia CF was not formed until 1919. Levante Unión Deportiva, S.A.D. (, ca-valencia, Llevant Unió Esportiva ) is a Spanish football club in Valencia, in the namesake autonomous community. Segunda División
The Campeonato Nacional de Liga de Segunda División, commercially known as LaLiga SmartBank for sponsorship reasons, is the men's second professional association football division of the Spanish football league system. Administrated by the Liga Nacional de Fútbol Profesional, it is contested by 22 teams, with the top two teams plus the winner of a play-off promoted to LaLiga and replaced by the three lowest-placed teams in that division.
