Lester B. Pearson School Board
The Lester B. Pearson School Board (LBPSB, french: Commission scolaire Lester-B.-Pearson, CSLBP) is one of the largest school boards on the island of Montreal and one of the nine English school boards in the province of Quebec. It is headquartered in Dorval, Quebec. Established in 1998, the LBPSB is responsible for English public schools from Verdun, through the West Island and Ile Perrot and "mainland" territories stretching west to the Ontario border. It is named after Lester B. Pearson, Canada's 14th Prime Minister. Michael Chechile is the Director General of the school board and the Chairman of the Board is Noel Burke. The Lester B. Pearson School Board is the only school board in Canada to have an official consultative group of students to its Council. The group, entitled the 'Central Students' Committee' (CSC for short) produces formal responses to the consultations proposed by the Council of Commissioners. Dorval () is an on-island suburban city on the island of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. In 2016, the Canadian Census indicated that the population increased by 4.2% to 18,980. Although the city has the largest surface area in Montréal’s west side, it is among the least densely populated. Montréal–Pierre Elliott Trudeau International Airport constitutes about 60% of the city's land, forcing all of Dorval's population to be concentrated in the southern part of the city. Westwood High School is an English language high school located in St. Lazare and Hudson in Quebec, roughly 24 km west of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. The school is administered by the Lester B. Pearson School Board and is divided into a Junior Campus (in Saint-Lazare) and a Senior Campus (in Hudson). Hudson is an off-island suburb of Montreal, with a population of 5,135 ( 2011 Census). It is located on the south-west bank of the lower Ottawa River, in Vaudreuil-Soulanges Regional County Municipality. Dollard-des-Ormeaux
Dollard-des-Ormeaux (; commonly referred to as D.D.O. or simply Dollard) is a predominantly English-speaking suburb of Montreal in southwestern Quebec, Canada. It is located on the Island of Montreal. The town was named after French martyr Adam Dollard des Ormeaux. The town was merged with the city of Montreal in 2002, and became part of the borough of Dollard-Des Ormeaux–Roxboro. When residents were later offered the option, they chose to leave the city of Montreal, and the town was reinstated as a separate entity in 2006.
