Lenny Henry
Sir Lenworth George Henry (born 29 August 1958) is a British actor, comedian, singer, television presenter and writer. Henry gained success as a stand-up comedian and impressionist in the late 1970s and early 1980s, culminating in '' The Lenny Henry Show'' in 1984. He was the most prominent black British comedian of the time and much of his material served to celebrate and parody his African-Caribbean roots. In 1985, he cofounded the charity Comic Relief with the comedy screenwriter Richard Curtis. He has appeared in numerous other TV programmes, including children's entertainment show '' Tiswas'', sitcom '' Chef!'' and '' The Magicians'' for BBC One, and in his later years has transitioned toward acting roles in stage and screen. It is his shortest and one of his most farcical comedies, with a major part of the humour coming from slapstick and mistaken identity, in addition to puns and word play. The O-Level (Ordinary Level) is a subject-based qualification conferred as part of the General Certificate of Education. Preston () is a city on the north bank of the River Ribble in Lancashire, England. Preston College is a further education college in the city of Preston, Lancashire, England. The college originally opened as W. R. Tuson College in September 1974 and was renamed Preston College on 1 September 1989. The Blue Coat School, Dudley
The Blue Coat School was a mixed secondary school located in Dudley, England. It was opened in 1869 within buildings in Bean Road, several hundred yards east of Dudley town centre. It expanded in 1970 to take in the buildings of Rosland Secondary School, Beechwood Road, at nearby Kates Hill, but the Bean Road site was still used for some lessons until 1981, when it was finally declared redundant after 112 years and sold to make way for a residential development. Rosland Secondary School first opened in 1932, serving the new council estates which were being built as an extension to the 19th century Kates Hill area. ''Live at the Apollo'' (formerly titled ''Jack Dee Live at the Apollo'') is a British stand-up comedy programme performed from the Apollo Theatre, West London. Despite the title, the programmes are recorded, not live. Jack Dee hosted the first two series and the opening show of the third series, performing a short segment before introducing a guest comedian. Until 2015, all episodes were broadcast on BBC One. The show moved to BBC Two in November 2015. The programme was renamed for its third series which was filmed over three evenings in October 2007. Burton Road Hospital
Burton Road Hospital was a National Health Service hospital situated in Dudley, West Midlands, England. History The hospital has its origins in the infirmary for the Dudley Union Workhouse which was built to the west of the main workhouse site in the 19th century. The workhouse was converted into a hospital and, in the late 1920s, it became known as the Dudley Institution. Additions to the institution at that time included a maternity hospital which was completed in 1926 and which was re-named the Rosemary Ednam Maternity Hospital in memory of Lady Ednam who had died in an air crash in July 1930. A donation by the Rotary Club enabled Burton Road Hospital to receive the country's first mobile cardiac unit in 1971.
