Leeds University Business School is a business school in the University of Leeds, in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The school is accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. Location Leeds University Business School is housed in several buildings at the University of Leeds, including the 19th-century Maurice Keyworth building (previously Leeds Grammar School), Charles Thackrah building and Clarendon building. The School also shares the Newlyn building and Esther Simpson building with the School of Law, which officially opened in October 2019 and March 2022 respectively. Leeds University Business School is situated on the western campus of the University of Leeds, located north of Leeds city centre. Order Of The British Empire
The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire is a British order of chivalry, rewarding contributions to the arts and sciences, work with charitable and welfare organisations, and public service outside the civil service. It was established on 4 June 1917 by King George V and comprises five classes across both civil and military divisions, the most senior two of which make the recipient either a knight if male or dame if female. There is also the related British Empire Medal, whose recipients are affiliated with, but not members of, the order. Kevin Keasey is Professor of Accounting and Finance, Director of the International Banking Institute and Director of the Centre for Advanced Studies in Finance at Leeds University Business School, University of Leeds. Peter Buckley (academic)
Peter Jennings Buckley (born 11 July 1949) is Professor of International Business at the University of Leeds and director of the Centre for International Business at the University of Leeds (CIBUL). Buckley was educated at Ashton-under-Lyne Grammar School and graduated from the University of York with a BA in social sciences ( economics) in 1970. He also has an MA in development economics from the University of East Anglia and a PhD in economics from the University of Lancaster. In 2010 he was awarded an honorary doctorate by the Faculty of Economics at Uppsala University, Sweden. Buckley's interest lies in the theory of multi-national enterprise and international business. John Raymond Hirst CBE is a British businessman. He was the chief executive officer of the UK Met Office from 2007 to 2014. Hirst was born in Cyprus in 1952, and moved to England as a child. He studied economics at Leeds University, and then joined PwC, the professional services firm, as an accountant. He later moved to ICI, becoming head of the Specialty Chemical Division.
