Lee Harvey (footballer)
Lee Derek Harvey (born 21 December 1966) is an English former professional footballer who played as a defender and midfielder. He is best remembered for his long spells in the Football League with Leyton Orient and Brentford. Playing career Leyton Orient Growing up in Harlow, Harvey began his career with youth club Peterswood and turned down the chance to join Tottenham Hotspur to move into the youth system at Third Division club Leyton Orient (then named 'Orient'). He made his debut during the 1983–84 season and finished the campaign with four league appearances. Another eight appearances and one goal followed in 1984–95, a season in which Orient suffered relegation to the Fourth Division. Bescot Stadium
Bescot Stadium, also known as the Poundland Bescot Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a association football, football stadium in Walsall, England, and the current home ground of Walsall F.C., Walsall Football Club. It was built in 1989–90, by GMI Construction, with a reported build cost of £4.5m. The stadium replaced the club's previous ground, Fellows Park, which was located a quarter of a mile away and was the club's home for 94 years. 1983–84 Football League
The 1983– 84 season was the 85th completed season of the English Football League. Liverpool had a successful first season under the management of Joe Fagan as they wrapped up their third successive league title and the 15th in their history. They overcame strong competition from Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Manchester United to lift the championship trophy. Liverpool had an extremely strong season, as they also won the European Cup and the League Cup. Southampton finished second in the league to record their highest-ever final position and achieve a UEFA Cup place, claiming six points from the last two games (both away) to climb up from fifth place. Football League Second Division
The Football League Second Division was the second level division in the English football league system between 1892 and 1992. Following the foundation of the FA Premier League, the Football League divisions were renumbered and the third tier became known as the Football League Second Division. After the rebranding of the Football League in 2003–04, it became known as Football League One. The City Ground is a football stadium in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, on the banks of the River Trent. It has been home to Nottingham Forest Football Club since 1898 and has a capacity of 30,445. The Football League First Division was a division of the Football League in England from 1888 until 2004. It was the top division in the English football league system from the season 1888–89 until 1991–92, a century in which the First Division's winning club became English men's football champions. Frank Clark (footballer)
Frank Clark (born 9 September 1943) is an English former footballer and manager, and former chairman of Nottingham Forest. Clark played in over 400 games for Newcastle United before moving to Nottingham Forest where he won the European Cup. After retiring as a player, he managed Leyton Orient for nine years (followed by a two-year spell as the club's managing director) and then returned to Nottingham Forest as manager between 1993 and 1996. He then managed Manchester City for just over a year. Playing career He started his career at Crook Town. He started his professional career at Newcastle United, and played a total of 464 games for them between 1962 and 1975. Brisbane Road, originally known as Osborne Road, is a football stadium in Brisbane Road, Leyton, East London, England. The Football League play-offs for the 1988–89 season were held in May 1989, with the two-legged finals taking place at the finalists home stadiums. The play-off semi-finals were also played over two legs and were contested by the teams who finished in 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th place in the Football League Second Division and Football League Third Division and the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th placed teams in the Football League Fourth Division table. The 1988– 89 season was the 90th completed season of the Football League. No European qualification took place due to the Heysel Stadium disaster suspension in place. Prior to the 1986–87 season membership of the Football League was dependent on a system of election by the other member teams.
