Leavells is an unincorporated community in Spotsylvania County in the U.S. state of Virginia. History Leavells was originally a small agrarian community located at the crossroads of Leavells Road (VA 639) and Courthouse Road (Virginia State Route 208). The community has experienced an explosion in population growth due to its proximity to Interstate 95 and presently consists of numerous middle-class housing developments. Some of these developments include Cambridge, Breckenridge, Leavells Crossing, and Oak Grove. Battlefield Middle School is located in the community along with a Giant food store and a CVS Pharmacy CVS Pharmacy, Inc. is an American retail corporation. Spotsylvania County is a county in the U.S. state of Virginia. As of the July 2021 estimate, the population was 143,676. Its county seat is Spotsylvania Courthouse. State Route 208 (SR 208) is a primary state highway in the U.S. state of Virginia. The state highway runs from U.S. Route 250 (US 250) at Ferncliff east to US 1 and US 1 Business at Four Mile Fork. SR 208 is a major southwest–northeast highway through Louisa and Spotsylvania counties. Interstate 95 In Virginia
Interstate 95 (I-95) runs within the Commonwealth of Virginia between its borders with North Carolina and Maryland. I-95 meets the northern terminus of I-85 in Petersburg, and is concurrent with I-64 for in Richmond. Although I-95 was originally planned as a highway through Washington, D.C. (following the route of what is now I-395), it was rerouted along the eastern portion of the Capital Beltway. From Petersburg to Richmond, I-95 utilized most of the Richmond–Petersburg Turnpike, a former toll road (the south end of the toll road was on I-85). It enters the Capital Beltway at the Springfield Interchange, also known as the Mixing Bowl. I-95 continues over the Woodrow Wilson Bridge into Washington, D.C.
