Lago Vista, Texas ("Lake View" in English) is a lakeside community located on the northern shores of Lake Travis. The city is located within Travis County, Texas, United States, and is less than 20 miles from downtown Austin, Texas. Much of Lago Vista is located on a peninsula that extends across 15.52 square miles of Texas Hill Country. The Colorado River runs adjacent to the city. Travis County, Texas experienced a population increase of 26.9% between 2010–2020. Lago Vista grew by 47.3% during that time. The Texas Hill Country is a geographic region of Central and South Texas, forming the southeast part of the Edwards Plateau. Lake Travis
Lake Travis is a reservoir on the Colorado River in central Texas in the United States. Serving principally as a flood-control reservoir, Lake Travis' historical minimum to maximum water height change is nearly 100 feet. In 2018 alone, it saw a 20-foot depth increase within a single 24-hour period of time. Lago Vista, Texas, Rusty Allen Airport is a publicly owned, municipal airport located in unincorporated Travis County, Texas, United States. It is northeast of the central business district of Lago Vista and is northwest of Austin.
