Luke Rounds
Luke Rounds (born 10 February 1991) is a former professional Australian rules footballer, who played for the Collingwood Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Mortlake, Victoria where he attended Mortlake College, he was drafted to Collingwood with the 46th selection (3rd round) in the 2008 AFL Draft. In 2008 he played for Terang-Mortlake in the Hampden Football League, Geelong Falcons in the TAC Cup and Victoria Country in the 2008 AFL Under 18 Championships. 2008 AFL Under 18 Championships
The 2008 AFL Under 18 Championships is the 2008 series of the AFL Under 18 Championships, a state and territory based Australian rules football competition which showcase the best junior footballers in Australia, primarily with the aim for them to be drafted into the Australian Football League. The competition is split into two divisions. The major football states of Victoria (split into separate Country and Metropolitan teams), South Australia and Western Australia are in Division 1, with the smaller football states of Northern Territory, NSW/ACT, Tasmania and Queensland are in Division 2. Unlike previous years, in 2008 the top two teams from the Division 2 competition advanced to be part of Division 1. The Hampden Football Netball League is an Australian rules football and netball league based in South-Western Victoria, with clubs located in towns along or near the Princes Highway from Camperdown to Portland. The league is a major country league. It comprises an amalgamation of the Hampden Football League with the women's netball league with the same teams and playing draw. The Geelong Falcons is a youth Australian rules football representative club in the NAB League, the Victorian statewide under-18s competition, Victoria, Australia. The club takes in talented junior players from the Geelong, Colac and Warrnambool regions in order to prepare them for AFL selection. There is an under-15 V-Line cup side and an under-16 side, but the club's main focus is its under-18 side, who play a longer season.
