Luke Livingston
Luke Livingston (born 4 November 1982) is a former Australian rules footballer who played top-level football for the AFL's Carlton Football Club. Career Livingston played his junior football for Kerang in the Central Murray Football League, and for the Bendigo Pioneers in the TAC Cup. He was drafted by Carlton with the No. 4 draft pick in the 2000 AFL Draft. He made his AFL debut for Carlton in Round 4, 2002 against Port Adelaide. "Livo" struggled for regular selection during his six seasons at Carlton. Although playing in the forward line as a junior, he was quickly shifted into the backline at Carlton, and it took him a long time to learn the craft. He played mainly for Carlton's , the Northern Bullants, over 2005 and 2006, and became a high quality defender at VFL level in a backline which was four goals better than any other in 2006. Kerang, Victoria
Kerang is a rural town on the Loddon River in northern Victoria in Australia. It is the commercial centre to an irrigation district based on livestock, horticulture, lucerne and grain. The Essendon District Football League (EDFL) is a professional Australian rules football league competition based in Essendon, Victoria, consisting of teams based in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. Founded in 1930, the men's competition consists of three leagues: Premier Division, Division 1 and Division 2, with 10 clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 nine in Division 2. Promotion and relegation between these divisions occurs, with the lowest-placed clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 being relegated at the end of each season. Clubs which win the Division 1 and Division 2 premierships are automatically promoted. Each men's team also fields a reserves side and an under-19 side that play a fixture mirroring that of the senior side. The Preston Football Club, which trades and plays as the Northern Bullants, is a long-established Australian rules football club based in Preston that plays in the Victorian Football League (VFL). It plays its home games at the Preston City Oval. The club was established in 1882 as the Preston Football Club. The club participated in the Victorian Football Association (VFA) between 1903 and 1911, and then since 1926. After World War II, the club was known as the Bullants, and wore a plain red guernsey with a white monogram. The club later became the Northern Bullants. Synopsis The Bendigo Pioneers is an Australian rules football team playing in NAB League since 1993 based in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia. The idea behind the Bendigo Pioneers is to train its players and condition them for professional football. The team is divided into under-15s, under-16s, and under-18s.
