Luke Jongwe
Luke Mafuwa Jongwe (born 6 February 1995) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium pace bowler. Jongwe was selected for three ODIs against South Africa. He made his One Day International debut at Harare Sports Club against South Africa on 17 August 2014, where he bowled six overs and gave away 45 runs without taking a wicket and then scored 19 runs in a losing cause. He made his Twenty20 International debut against Pakistan on 27 September 2015. In December 2020, Jongwe was selected to play for the Tuskers in the 2020–21 Logan Cup. In April 2021, Jongwe was named in Zimbabwe's squad for their Twenty20 International (T20I) series against Pakistan, more than five years since his last international match. On 26 April 2021, Jongwe was named in Zimbabwe's Test squad, also for the series against Pakistan. Harare (; formerly Salisbury ) is the Capital city, capital and most populous city of Zimbabwe. Harare Sports Club
Harare Sports Club is a sports club and the Harare Sports Club Ground is a cricket stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1900 and known as Salisbury Sports Club until 1982, it is mostly used for cricket matches, and has served as the primary cricket venue in Rhodesia and Zimbabwe since its foundation. The Pakistan national cricket team or Pak cricket team, often referred to as the Shaheens (), Green Shirts, Men in Green and Cornered Tigers is administered by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). Pakistani Cricket Team In Zimbabwe In 2020–21
The Pakistan cricket team toured Zimbabwe in April and May 2021 to play two Tests and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. The tour of Zimbabwe followed on from Pakistan's tour of South Africa. On 28 March 2021, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed the tour itinerary, with all the matches being played behind closed doors in Harare. Pakistan won the first T20I match by eleven runs, with Zimbabwe winning the second match by nineteen runs to level the series. It was Zimbabwe's first win against Pakistan in T20Is in sixteen attempts, and their first win in a home T20I match since beating India in June 2016. 2020–21 Logan Cup
The 2020–21 Logan Cup was the 27th edition of the Logan Cup, a first-class cricket competition in Zimbabwe, which started on 9 December 2020. After originally scheduled to start on 3 December 2020, the tournament was moved back a week to allow time to setup a bio-secure bubble. Five teams took part in the competition, including the Southern Rocks, who last played in the 2013–14 tournament. There was no defending champion, after the previous tournament was voided due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Four matches were played during December 2020. However, on 3 January 2021, Zimbabwe Cricket halted all cricket in the country following a rise in COVID-19 cases. In mid-March 2021, it was reported that the tournament would resume later that month, with the next round of matches starting on 18 March 2021.
