Luke Holden
Luke Holden (born 24 November 1988), also known as Luke Holden-Moakes, is an English footballer who plays as a midfielder. Career Holden started out with Liverpool youth, aged 6 but was released by the club at the age of 12. He joined Everton's youth teams for eighteen months before moving to Tranmere Rovers as a trainee. Whilst at Tranmere he scored both the late goals that put Bury out of the FA Youth Cup in 2006. After being released in 2007, Holden signed for Welsh Premier League side The New Saints for the 2007–08 season, making 22 league starts scoring six goals as the team finished in second place. He left The New Saints at the end of the season, following manager Ken McKenna to Northern Premier League Premier Division side Cammell Laird. Ken McKenna (football Manager)
Kenneth McKenna (born 2 July 1960) is an English former professional footballer and manager who last worked as assistant manager of National League side AFC Fylde. Playing career McKenna started his senior playing career with Poulton Victoria and then signed for Tranmere Rovers in the Football League on a non-contract basis, making four league appearances. He left the club in 1983, joining Telford United and later won a Cheshire Senior Cup winner's medal with Runcorn, returning to Tranmere Rovers for a second spell in 1987. After a second spell at Telford United, McKenna joined Altrincham at the start of the 1990–91 season, scoring 33 goals in 56 appearances in all competitions, finishing the season with the Robins' Player of the Year award and was part of a side that went 28 games without defeat and scored in 10 consecutive games. The Football Association Youth Challenge Cup is an English football competition run by The Football Association for under-18 sides. Only those players between the age of 15 and 18 on 31 August of the current season are eligible to take part. It is dominated by the youth sides of professional teams, mostly from the Premier League, but attracts over 400 entrants from throughout the country. At the end of the Second World War the FA organised a Youth Championship for County Associations considering it the best way to stimulate the game among those youngsters not yet old enough to play senior football.
