Luke Cain
Luke Cain (born 3 February 1980) is an SH2-classified Australian shooter who became a paraplegic after an accident while playing Australian rules football. He started competing in 2007, as the sport suited his disability, and has been a Victorian Institute of Sport scholarship holder since 2008. He first represented Australia internationally in 2009 at a World Cup event in South Korea. He has also represented Australia in two Paralympic Games including the 2016 Rio Paralympics. Personal Cain was born on 3 February 1980 in Rosebud, Victoria. He started playing Australian rules football when he was seven years old for the Rye Football Club. He played senior football for Rosebud Football Club as a full-forward. In August 1999, at the age of nineteen, he was playing for Rosebud in a game against Hastings Football Club when he broke his neck after being sandwiched between a teammate and an opposing player. SH2 (classification)
SH2 is a Paralympic shooting classification. Sport This Paralympic shooting sport class is designated to shooters with a more severe impairment in the upper limbs, which necessitates them to use a shooting stand. Unlike the SH1 class they shoot with a rifle only and not with pistols. Becoming classified Sub-classifications A, B and C define wheelchair backrest height depending on back and pelvic strength per athlete. Ambulant or wheelchair using shooters regardless of sub-classifications A, B or C shoot together in this class. Classification is handled by International Paralympic Committee Shooting. Australian Football League
The Australian Football League (AFL) is the only fully professional sports, professional competition of Australian rules football. Bradley Mark (born 26 February 1957) is a New Zealand born Australian shooter who has represented Australia in two Paralympic Games. Personal Mark was born on 26 February 1957 in New Zealand. He is from Wynnum, Queensland. He has incomplete quadriplegia as a result of bacterial meningitis when he was thirty-five years old. He was a 2011 Queensland Sporting Wheelies Senior Male Athlete of the Year nominee. He has a dog from Assistant Dogs Australia who helps him complete tasks which allow for greater independence. Jason Maroney (born 19 March 1967) is an Australian shooter. He was selected to represent Australia at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in shooting. He did not medal at the 2012 Games. Personal Maroney was born on 19 March 1967. He is originally from Glenrowan, Victoria. He spent time in the army. He became a quadriplegic as a result of a car accident when he was 19 years old.
