Lower Columbia College
Lower Columbia College (LCC) is a public community college in Longview, Washington. LCC offers over 90 high school diploma, certificate, associate, and bachelor's degree options in eight career pathways. Admissions There are no minimum academic requirements or essays required to enroll at LCC. Financial aid and scholarships are available to eligible students. History LCC was established in 1934 as Lower Columbia Junior College. First-time students registered for classes at Korten’s Music Store in Longview, Dahlman Hardware in Castle Rock, and the Orr Furniture Store in Kelso. Krist Novoselic
Krist Anthony Novoselic (; ; born May 16, 1965) is an American musician, politician and activist. Novoselic co-founded and played bass on every album for the rock music, rock band Nirvana (band), Nirvana. Novoselic and Kurt Cobain formed the band Nirvana in 1987, soon recruiting drummer Aaron Burckhard, who was the drummer of the group until October 1987. Through the late 1980s, Nirvana established themselves as part of the Seattle grunge scene, releasing three albums between 1989 and 1993. Nirvana abruptly ended in 1994 following the Suicide of Kurt Cobain, death of Kurt Cobain. Pim Walsma (born 3 February 1987) is a Dutch former baseball player who played for the Amsterdam Pirates and the Dutch national team. He attended Lower Columbia College in the United States. During his sophomore season, he went 2-3 with a 3.27 ERA. Walsma debuted in the Hoofdklasse in 2005 and went 1-6 with a 5.11 ERA, walking 38 in 44 innings for the Amsterdam Pirates; he was 5th in the league in free passes. He fell to 1-6, 6.75 in 2006 with 40 walks in 37 innings, finishing 6th in walks. He participated in the MLB European Academy that summer. Ricky Joe Sweet (born September 7, 1952) is an American former professional baseball catcher and current manager (baseball), manager of the Milwaukee Brewers' Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate, the Nashville Sounds. He played three seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) between 1978 and 1983 for the San Diego Padres, New York Mets, and Seattle Mariners. Sweet became a major league coach in 1984 and spent two years as a scout (sport), scout before beginning his minor league baseball, minor league managerial career in 1987. Sidney R. Snyder (July 30, 1926 – October 14, 2012) was an American businessman and politician. Born in Kelso, Washington, he graduated from Kelso High School and went to Lower Columbia College.
