Los Angeles Sol
The Los Angeles Sol was an American professional association football, soccer club that was based in the Los Angeles suburb of Carson, California, that participated in Women's Professional Soccer. The team was co-owned and operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group (AEG) and Blue Star, LLC, a subsidiary of AEG. The team played its home games at Dignity Health Sports Park, Home Depot Center. It was announced on January 28, 2010, that the team would cease operations. History The formation of Women's Professional Soccer was announced on September 4, 2007, and it was also announced on that day that a franchise had been awarded to Los Angeles. Dignity Health Sports Park
Dignity Health Sports Park is a multi-use sports complex located on the campus of California State University, Dominguez Hills, in Carson, California. The complex consists of the 27,000-seat Dignity Health Sports Park soccer stadium, the Dignity Health Sports Park tennis stadium, a track-and-field facility, and the VELO Sports Center velodrome. It is approximately south of downtown Los Angeles, and its primary tenant is the LA Galaxy of Major League Soccer (MLS). The main stadium was also home to the Los Angeles Wildcats (XFL), Los Angeles Wildcats of the XFL (2020), XFL in 2020. Boston Breakers
The Boston Breakers were an American professional women's soccer club based in the Boston neighborhood of Allston. The team competed in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). They replaced the original Breakers, who competed in the defunct Women's United Soccer Association, as the Boston area's professional women's soccer team. Boston would eventually be awarded Boston Legacy FC in 2023 that will begin play in 2026. Karina Chenelle LeBlanc (born March 30, 1980) is an American-born Canadian former professional soccer goalkeeper and former general manager of the Portland Thorns FC. She played for the Canadian national team and multiple professional women's teams in the United States over her fourteen-year career.
