Load Factor (aeronautics)
In aeronautics, the load factor is the ratio of the Lift (force), lift of an aircraft to its weightHurt, page 37 and represents a global measure of the stress (mechanics), stress ("load") to which the structure of the aircraft is subjected: : n = \frac, where : n is the load factor, : L is the lift : W is the weight. Since the load factor is the ratio of two forces, it is dimensionless. However, its units are traditionally referred to as g, because of the relation between load factor and apparent acceleration of gravity felt on board the aircraft. A load factor of one, or 1 g, represents conditions in straight and level flight, where the lift is equal to the weight. Load factors greater or less than one (or even negative) are the result of maneuvers or wind gusts. Load factor and g The fact that the load factor is commonly expressed in ''g'' units does not mean that it is dimensionally the same as the Earth's gravity, acceleration of gravity, also indicated with ''g''. The lo ...

Load Management
Load management, also known as demand-side management (DSM), is the process of Load balancing (electrical power), balancing the supply of electricity on the network with the electrical load by adjusting or controlling the load rather than the power station output. This can be achieved by direct intervention of the utility in real time, by the use of frequency sensitive relays triggering the circuit breakers (ripple control), by time clocks, or by using special tariffs to influence consumer behavior. Load management allows utilities to reduce demand for electricity during peak usage times (peak shaving), which can, in turn, reduce costs by eliminating the need for peaking power plants. In addition, some peaking power plants can take more than an hour to bring on-line which makes load management even more critical should a plant go off-line unexpectedly for example. Load management can also help reduce harmful emissions, since peaking plants or backup generators are often dirtier and ...

Cargo
In transportation, cargo refers to goods transported by land, water or air, while freight refers to its conveyance. In economics, freight refers to goods transported at a freight rate for commercial gain. The term cargo is also used in case of goods in the cold-chain, because the perishable inventory is always in transit towards a final end-use, even when it is held in cold storage or other similar climate-controlled facilities, including warehouses. Multi-modal container units, designed as reusable carriers to facilitate unit load handling of the goods contained, are also referred to as cargo, especially by shipping lines and logistics operators. When empty containers are shipped each unit is documented as a cargo and when goods are stored within, the contents are termed containerized cargo. Similarly, aircraft ULD boxes are also documented as cargo, with an associated packing list of the items contained within. Description Marine Seaport terminals handle a wide ra ...

The Load
''The Load'' () is a 2018 Serbian war drama film directed by Ognjen Glavonić. It was selected to screen in the Directors' Fortnight section at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival. It also won the Golden Pram Award for Best Feature Film at the 2018 Zagreb Film Festival. This being his third excursion driving, he’s advised not to stop for any reason once he departs. After being dropped off at the site where the truck waits for him, he begins his journey but is soon rerouted by a burning car wreck at a bridge, forcing him to detour to a nearby riverbed. He finds a group of refugees who give directions and one sells him cigarettes. A young man named Paja approaches him asking to ride with him to Belgrade, but he refuses. Loads (album)
Happy Mondays are an English rock band formed in Salford in 1980. The original line-up consisted of brothers Shaun Ryder (vocals) and Paul Ryder (bass), Gaz Whelan (drums), Paul Davis (keyboard), and Mark Day (guitar). Mark "Bez" Berry later joined the band onstage as a dancer and maracas player. Rowetta began working with the band as guest second vocalist in 1990. They were originally signed to Tony Wilson's Factory Records label. The group's work bridged the Manchester alternative rock music of the 1980s and the emerging UK rave scene, drawing influence from funk, house, and psychedelia to pioneer the Madchester sound. They experienced their commercial peak with the releases '' Bummed'' (1988), '' Madchester Rave On'' (1989), and '' Pills 'n' Thrills and Bellyaches'' (1990), with the latter going platinum in the UK. Happy Mondays disbanded in 1993. They reformed several times and released the reunion album '' Uncle Dysfunktional'' (2007). History First incarnation T ...

Load (album)
''Load'' is the sixth studio album by American heavy metal band Metallica, released on June 4, 1996, through Elektra Records in the United States and Vertigo Records internationally. It was recorded between May 1995 and April 1996 primarily in Sausalito, California, with additional sessions in New York City. Bob Rock returned as producer from '' Metallica'' (1991). Compared to previous albums, the recording sessions were more relaxed and productive, resulting in almost 30 songs being recorded. While a double album was considered, the band decided to split the material into two albums; half appeared on ''Load'' and the other half were released as '' Reload'' the following year. For ''Load'', Metallica strayed away from their thrash metal roots in favor of a hard rock sound. The band members became influenced by non-metal artists during the writing process, resulting an array of musical styles such as Southern rock, blues rock, country rock, alternative rock, and grunge. The ...

Load Records
Load Records was an American experimental music-oriented independent record label based out of Providence, Rhode Island. "Load Records might possibly be in possession of the world's most challenging record roster," writes Mark Hensch of Thrash Pit. "Rounded out by some of the most uncompromising noise/avant-garde/experimental artists in all of music's sordid underbelly, Load has always prided itself on remaining outside of common taste and maybe even common sense." History Load Records was started by Ben McOsker in order to put a 7-inch record out for the band Boss Fuel. The label quickly became the most prominent source for noise music coming out of Providence, Rhode Island - loosely functioning in the same way that Sub Pop served grunge out of Seattle in the early 1990s. "Ben McOsker got into the business of running a label on a whim," said Stylus Magazine, "and now, after more than ten years of operation, Load Records has become one of the preeminent names in noise music. By si ...

Moving Load
In structural dynamics, a moving load changes the point at which the load is applied over time. Examples include a vehicle that travels across a bridge and a train moving along a track. Properties In computational models, load is usually applied as * a simple massless force, * an oscillator, or * an inertial force (mass and a massless force). Numerous historical reviews of the moving load problem exist. Several publications deal with similar problems. The fundamental monograph is devoted to massless loads. Inertial load in numerical models is described in Unexpected property of differential equations that govern the motion of the mass particle travelling on the string, Timoshenko beam theory, Timoshenko beam, and Mindlin–Reissner plate theory, Mindlin plate is described in. It is the discontinuity of the mass trajectory near the end of the span (well visible in string at the speed ''v''=0.5''c''). The moving load significantly increases displacements. The critical vel ...
