Livesport Prague Open
The Prague Open (currently branded as the Livesport Prague Open for sponsorship reasons) is a professional women's tennis tournament that is held in Prague, Czech Republic. It began in 2010, initially as an ITF Women's Circuit, ITF Circuit $50,000 event upgraded to $100,000. It became a WTA International Tournaments, WTA International tournament in 2015, and the prize money increased to $250,000. The tournament is played on outdoor hardcourts, at the TK Sparta Prague. The tournament was held on outdoor clay courts., before 2021. Lucie Šafářová in singles, and Lucie Hradecká in doubles, are the record holders of the tournament, with three titles for each one. Karolína Plíšková (; born 21 March 1992) is a Czech professional tennis player. She has been ranked as the world No. 1 in women's singles by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), holding the position for a total of eight weeks, and has been ranked world No. 11 in doubles. Plíšková has won 17 singles and five doubles titles on the WTA Tour, and has reached two major singles finals at the 2016 US Open and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. The WTA Tour (also known as the Hologic WTA Tour for sponsorship reasons) is a worldwide top-tier tennis tour for women and organized by the Women's Tennis Association. The second-tier tour is the WTA 125 series, and third-tier is the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour. The men's equivalent is the ATP Tour. Anna Karolína Schmiedlová (; born 13 September 1994) is a Slovak inactive professional tennis player. On 12 October 2015, she reached her best WTA singles ranking of world No. 26.
