The following is a list of programs broadcast by the Nick Jr. Channel. It was launched on September 28, 2009, as a Spin-off (media), spin-off of Nickelodeon's long-running preschool Nick Jr., programming block of the same name, which has aired since 1988. The channel features original series and reruns of programming from Nickelodeon's weekday morning lineup. A late-night programming block aimed at mothers, NickMom, aired on Nick Jr. from October 1, 2012 to September 28, 2015. The channel replaced Noggin (brand), Noggin, which was relaunched as a streaming service in 2015 and acted as a separate sister brand. Noggin is an American edutainment brand that was first introduced on February 2, 1999. Co-founded by MTV Networks (now Paramount Media Networks; owners of Nickelodeon) and Sesame Workshop, it started out as a cable television channel (which was later discontinued on September 28, 2009) and a website, both centered around the concepts of imagination, creativity, and education. From 2015 to 2024, Noggin was a over-the-top media service, streaming service aimed at preschoolers. In Noggin's first three years, it was mainly aimed at pre-teens and teenagers. One of Noggin's goals was to disprove the idea "that educational programming is not entertaining enough to attract pre-teens and young adults." ''Peppa Pig'' is a British preschool animated television series created by Neville Astley and Mark Baker. Produced by Hasbro Entertainment and Karrot Animation and formerly produced by Astley Baker Davies, the show follows Peppa, an anthropomorphic female piglet, and her family, as well as her peers portrayed as other animals. ''The Backyardigans'' ( ) is an animated musical children's television series created by Janice Burgess for Nickelodeon. The series was written and recorded at Nickelodeon Animation Studio.
