LigaSP
The Liga Independente das Escolas de Samba de São Paulo - Independent League of the Samba Schools of São Paulo - or LigaSP is an entity that administrates the Special and Access Groups of the Carnival of São Paulo. In 1986 directors of the principal samba schools of São Paulo and a group of samba composers and dancers gathered in an assembly decided to create an association that would administrate the Paulista carnival. Nowadays the LigaSP manages the parades, repassing the lucres to the samba schools of the Special and Access Groups, creating a group of sporting samba schools. in 2018 changes take control of all the groups in Anhembi, with the inclusion of Group 1, until then UESP. so we have the Access Groups 1 and 2. Grêmio Recreativo Cultural Social Escola de Samba Mocidade Alegre, popularly known simply as Mocidade Alegre, is a samba school from São Paulo, Brazil. History It arose through a group of men dressed as women who went out by the streets of the Central Region of São Paulo. This group was formed by Juarez Cruz, his brothers Salvador Cruz, Carlos Cruz and two more friends. The three brothers came from the town of Campos dos Goytacazes and lived in São Paulo since 1948. Because of a joke, alluding to two situations that raged in São Paulo at the recovery of trams and closing of brothels of the Bom Retiro district by the city, the merrymakers baptised the group in 1958 as "Block of the first moths retrieved from Bom Retiro". Vai-Vai
Grêmio Recreativo Cultural Social Escola de Samba Vai-Vai , popularly known simply as Vai-Vai is a samba school from São Paulo, Brazil. At the beginning of the 20th century, there were in the neighborhood Bixiga, at Rua Marques Lion, a football team called Cai-Cai which used the colors black and white, which formed part of a group of crying and played in the field of Lusitana, near the intersection of rock and Una, Saracura River region. Around 1928 a group of friends, led by Livinho and Benedito Sardinha helped to animate the games and parties performed by the Cai-Cai, but were always seen as freeloaders and troublemakers, being called jokingly as "the Vae-Vae gang." Expelled from the Cai-Cai, they created the "Pack of the Tattered", and in parallel, the Vae-Vae Carnival and Sports Cord, which was formalized in 1930. Grupo De Acesso
The Grupo de Acesso - Access Group - was created for the first time in the city of Rio de Janeiro when the UGESB, FBES and UCES resolved to organize a unique competition, unlike the last three years, where schools would be divided into groups. Before this, there was only one association of samba schools and all the schools participated in the same division. However, in 1952, with the unification of the entities, people concluded that there were too many schools to parade in the same day, and divided the schools into groups according to each school's efficiency. Therefore, they decided to place in Group 1 (current Special Group) the best 24 schools, while the other schools would parade in Group 2 (current Access Group, or Grupo de Acesso), with the promise of possibilities of ascension or fall, promise that was only realized in 1954, two years later. Samba Schools
A samba school () is a dancing, marching, and drumming (Samba Enredo) club. They practice and often perform in a huge square- compounds ("quadras de samba") and are devoted to practicing and exhibiting samba, an Afro-Brazilian dance and drumming style. Although the word "school" is in the name, samba schools do not offer instruction in a formal setting. Samba schools have a strong community basis and are traditionally associated with a particular neighborhood. The Torcida Jovem (English: ''Young Supporters''; ) are a ''torcida organizada'', or supporters' group, for Santos FC, a Brazilian professional football club based in Santos, Brazil. The União das Escolas de Samba de São Paulo – Union of the Samba Schools of São Paulo – or UESP is an entity that organizes the parades of the Carnival of São Paulo, SP, Brazil. It was created in 1973 when the samba schools obtained their recognition, because in that epoch the entity helped councils to regularize their statutes, professionalizing the parades.
