Lewis Mokler
Lewis David Mokler (born 20 May 1993), also known as HUNTAR, is an English alternative/indie singer and songwriter. Early life Lewis Mokler began singing at an early age, performing covers in karaoke pubs, before busking around his hometown and in Cambridge. Soon after Mokler was given an acoustic guitar, teaching himself to play and performing at various open mic nights around Suffolk. In April 2011 Mokler performed at The Doodle Bar in Bury St Edmunds where he was spotted by local manager & promoter Joe Weaver, and the two began working with each other. His brother, Kian Mokler, was also an inspiration to Lewis. Music career Mokler released three free demo EPs over the course of 2011 before entering local battle of the bands competition, BurySOUND. Open Mic
An open mic or open mike (shortened from "open microphone") is a live show at a venue such as a coffeehouse, nightclub, comedy club, strip club, or pub, usually taking place at night, in which audience members may perform on stage whether they are amateurs or professionals, often for the first time or to promote an upcoming performance. As the name suggests, performers are usually provided with a microphone plugged into a PA system so that they can be heard by the audience. Performers sign up in advance for a time slot with the host, who is typically an experienced performer or the venue's manager or owner. The host may screen potential candidates for suitability for the venue and give them a time to perform during the show. Ethan Ash
Ethan Ash is an English singer-songwriter and musician, based in Cambridge, England. Life and career Early life Ethan Ash was born in the North East of England and grew up in Brighton and Cambridge. He began playing classical guitar when he was just six years old before taking up the electric guitar aged twelve. He began performing both solo and in bands during his teenage years, gigging all over the UK. Debut and No Early Nights EPs Ash has performed live sessions for Sue Marchant's show on BBC Three Counties Radio, for BBC Cambridgeshire, BFBS Radio and various BBC Local radio sessions. Latitude Festival
The Latitude Festival is an annual music festival that takes place in Henham Park, near Southwold, Suffolk, England. It was first held in July 2006 and has been held every year since, apart from 2020, when it was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2021, the festival went ahead as part of the government's live event pilot scheme, and was the UK's first full-capacity festival since 2019. The festival presents musicians, bands and artists across four stages - the Obelisk Arena, the BBC Sounds Stage, the Sunrise Arena and the Alcove. The festival also includes theatre, art, comedy, cabaret, poetry, politics, dance and literature. Boy Better Know
Boy Better Know, often abbreviated as BBK, is a British grime collective and record label. The collective was founded in North London in 2005 as an independent record label by brothers Jamie and Joseph Adenuga, better known as Jme, and Skepta. The first of them also serves as a sole owner and director of an associated company, ''Boy Better Know Limited'', incorporated in 2008. All members of the collective use the record label as a means to publish their music, and is digitally distributed by The Orchard, a subsidiary of Sony Music. Maxwell Owusu Ansah (born 14 September 1984), known by his stage name Lethal Bizzle, is a British rapper from Walthamstow, London, of Ghanaian origin. He emerged in 2002 as a grime MC as part of More Fire Crew, with their grime single "Oi!" charting in the top 10 of the UK Singles Chart. His debut solo single " Pow! (Forward)" attracted attention for its aggressive content, charting at number 11 despite being banned from airplay and clubs. Torquay
Torquay ( ) is a seaside town in Devon, England, part of the unitary authority area of Torbay. Jake Morley
Jake Morley (born 1 August 1983) is a British singer-songwriter, based in north London. Early life Morley grew up in Mill Hill, London. He learned guitar at an early age and began writing songs whilst at Mill Hill County High School in north west London. After studying law at the University of Nottingham for three years, Morley returned to London and started performing on the London open mic scene. 2008–2009 Morley began recording in 2008, and released of his first EP, ''This City'' later the same year.
