Centre Province
The Centre Region () occupies 69,000 km2 of the central plains of the Republic of Cameroon. It is bordered to the north by the Adamawa Region, to the south by the South Region, to the east by the East Region, and to the West by the Littoral and West Regions. It is the second largest (after East Region) of Cameroon's regions in land area. Major ethnic groups include the Bassa, Ewondo, and Vute. Departments Of Cameroon
The regions of Cameroon are divided into 58 division (political geography), divisions or department (administrative division), departments. The divisions are further subdivided into subdivisions (''arrondissements'') and districts. The divisions are listed below, by Macro-Region and region. Obala
Obala is a town in Cameroon's Centre Province, Cameroon, Centre Province, ca 45 km north of Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. Overview The town is the seat of a Roman Catholic diocese and hosts a military academy. Tourists in Obala may visit the somewhat derelict Luna Park of Obala, Luna Park whose main attraction is a swimming pool. Not far from Obala are the Nachtigal Falls, actually a series of rapids in the Sanaga River. It has one fairly nice hotel and a large open-air market.
