2010 Philippine House Of Representatives Elections
The 2010 Philippine House of Representatives elections were held on May 10, 2010, to elect members to the House of Representatives of the Philippines to serve in the 15th Congress of the Philippines from June 30, 2010, to June 30, 2013. The Philippines uses parallel voting for seats in the House of Representatives; a voter has two votes: one for a representative from one's legislative district, and another for a sectoral representative via closed lists under the party-list system, with a 2% election threshold and 3-seat cap, when the parties with 2% of the national vote or more not meeting the 20% of the total seats, parties with less than 2% of the vote will get one seat each until the 20% requirement is met. Santa Elena, officially the Municipality of Santa Elena (), is a municipality in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 43,582 people. Santa Elena is from Daet and from Manila. History Santa Elena, formerly known as Ilayang Santol, was then a sitio of barrio Pulonguit-guit, Capalonga. In 1948, through the efforts of local leaders, it became an independent barrio. Santa Elena became a municipality with ten barangays out of Capalonga by virtue of Republic Act No. 5480 on June 21, 1969. Paracale, officially the Municipality of Paracale (), is a municipality in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 60,198 people. Paracle’s economy is driven by agriculture and small scale, often informal gold mining and gold ore processing. Rice, corn, coconut and root crops and vegetables are the major agricultural products. Jose Panganiban, officially the Municipality of Jose Panganiban (), is a municipality in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. Capalonga
Capalonga, officially the Municipality of Capalonga (), is a municipality in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 36,223 people. History Agtas and Dumagats are believed to be the first inhabitants of village used to be called "Apalong". This name was derived from a wild plant called "Palong Manok", which looks like a rooster's comb.
