Lawrence Ting
Lawrence S. Ting (; vi, Đinh Thiện Lý; 1939–2004) was a Taiwanese decorated soldier and a pioneer businessman who became one of the largest foreign investors in Vietnam. As founder of Phu My Hung Corporation and Saigon South Urban Development Project, Lawrence Ting was instrumental in the southward expansion of Ho Chi Minh City. Ranger School
The United States Army Ranger School is a 62-day small unit tactics and leadership course that develops functional skills directly related to units whose mission is to engage the enemy in close combat and direct fire battles. Ranger training was established in September 1950 at Fort Benning, Georgia. The Ranger course has changed little since its inception. Until recently, it was an eight-week course divided into three phases. The course is now 61 days in duration and divided into three phases as follows: Benning Phase, Mountain Phase, and Swamp Phase. Henry Hsu
Henry Hsu (; 6 December 1912 – 3 February 2009) was a Taiwanese athlete and politician. Hsu was born in Huadu District, Hua County and had planned to follow his parents into the medical field, until his mother's death in a hotel fire when Hsu was eighteen. Upon graduation from Whampoa Military Academy, Hsu pursued legal studies in Shanghai. He represented the Republic of China at the 1930 Far Eastern Championship Games, 1930 and 1934 Far Eastern Championship Games, as a volleyball player and footballer, respectively. Hsu also competed as a swimmer and water polo player. During World War II, Hsu served in the Republic of China Navy. At the time of the Battle of Hong Kong, he was a Lieutenant-Commander and aide-de-camp to Admiral Chan Chak. The Chinese Taipei Olympic Committee (; IOC code: TPE) is the National Olympic Committee representing the Republic of China (Taiwan). History The China National Amateur Athletic Federation () was established on 3 April 1922. Later that year, the International Olympic Committee recognized the federation as the Chinese Olympic Committee (). In 1924, Wang Cheng-ting, the president of the committee, was elected a member of the International Olympic Committee during the 22nd IOC Sessions, which were held in Paris, France. Wu Po-hsiung (; born 19 June 1939) is a Taiwanese politician who is a former chairman of the Kuomintang (KMT). He has been the Interior Minister (1984-1988), Mayor of Taipei (1988–1990), Secretary-General to the President (1991–1996), and Chairman of the KMT (2007-2009). Ting Tsung "T.T." Chao (1921 – March 7, 2008) was a pioneer in international petrochemical and plastics industries in Asia and North America. History Chao was born in Suzhou, China. Chao graduated from Shanghai University with a degree in Industrial Management and began a career in the railroad industry. After the Second World War Chao relocated to Taiwan and created the first polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plant. The plant began production in 1957 and assisted in Taiwan's economic development. Gulf Oil was a major global oil company in operation from 1901 to 1985.
