L.I.E.S. Records is an American record label based in Brooklyn, New York that releases various types of electronic music. Founded by Ron Morelli and short for "Long Island Electrical Systems," L.I.E.S. is closely associated with the so-called outsider house genre of house and techno coming from Brooklyn. Artists include Delroy Edwards, Terekke, Gunnar Haslam, Vereker, Shawn O'Sullivan, Steve Moore, Person of Interest, Marcos Cabral, Legowelt, and Randomer. Delroy Edwards (musician)
Brandon Avery Perlman (born March 28, 1990), better known by his stage name Delroy Edwards, is an American electronic musician, record producer and DJ based in Los Angeles. According to AllMusic's Paul Simpson, he produces "gritty, lo-fi house tracks as well blown-out, abstract beat tapes." Edwards is the son of actor Ron Perlman. He is the owner of the record label, L.A. Club Resource, and runs the underground hip hop reissue label, Gene's Liquor. Outsider House
Outsider house (originally spawned as outsider dance, also known as raw house) is a genre of house music combining elements of deep house, techno, noise, and ambient, with artists embracing lo-fi techniques rather than the polished cleanliness of mainstream deep house and other EDM genres. The term "outsider dance" was first coined in 2012 by DJ Ben UFO and emphasized by music journalist Scott Wilson, referring to different producers and record labels "operating at the fringes of the fringes" such as Laurel Halo, Anthony Naples. Steve Moore (musician)
Steve Moore is an American, New York-based multi-instrumentalist/producer/film composer, best known for his synthesizer and bass guitar work with Zombi. Moore also plays bass guitar for Brooklyn progressive rock band Titan, and has worked with Microwaves, Red Sparowes, Lair of the Minotaur, Ghost, Goblin, Maserati, Municipal Waste, Sally Shapiro and Panthers. Moore releases solo material as well, occasionally adopting pseudonyms (such as dance/pop alter-ego Lovelock). His solo work also includes film scores, predominantly low-budget horror films, and remixes for a wide range of artists including Washed Out, Lower Dens, Voivod and The Melvins. Hard Wax

It was founded in December 1989 by Mark Ernestus at the ground floor of a Reichenberger Straße’s building. It is specialized in techno music, reggae, dub and dubstep. Hard Wax also serves as a distributor for several Berlin-based record labels linked to the Basic Channel aesthetic.
