L!VE TV
L!VE TV was a British television station that was operated by Mirror Group Newspapers on cable television from 12 June 1995 until 5 November 1999. It was later revived for Sky from 2003. In 2006, L!VE TV's name was changed to Babeworld to reflect the channel's gradual change of focus towards "adult material". Background L!VE TV was proposed by David Montgomery as part of MGN's move into pay television and due to the dominance on satellite of Sky Television, the decision was made to launch channels exclusively on cable. In February 1995, Mirror Television, a Mirror Group plc subsidiary, bought flagship cable channel Wire TV which included sports content shown at certain times during Wire's output. Babeworld
Babeworld was a British adult chat television broadcaster on Sky (UK & Ireland) from 2006 until 2011. Both the channel and programme were named ''Babeworld''. It launched on Sky on 2 March 2006, replacing the revived version of L!VE TV. In 2007 and 2008, it was also responsible for the channel House of Fun TV, later renamed ''Babeworld XXXTRA'' (''Babeworld TV Extra'') which replaced it on the Sky EPG in mid-2008. The two channels' numbers on the EPG were 909 and 962 ''(in 2007)'', then 908 and 949 ''(in 2008)'', and 908 and 952 ''(in 2010)''. In 2010, the channels were taken over by Bluebird TV, which went on to become a large adult content producer. Tele-Communications, Inc. (TCI) was a cable television provider in the United States, and for most of its history was controlled by Bob Magness and John Malone. The company was started in 1958 in Bozeman, Montana, as Western Microwave, Inc. and Community Television, Inc., two firms with common ownership. The companies merged in 1968 and operations moved to Denver, taking the name Tele-Communications Inc. It was the largest cable operator in the United States at one time. London Docklands is an area of London encompassing the city’s former docks. It is located in inner east and southeast London, in the boroughs of London Borough of Southwark, Southwark, London Borough of Tower Hamlets, Tower Hamlets, London Borough of Lewisham, Lewisham, London Borough of Newham, Newham and Royal Borough of Greenwich, Greenwich. Spanish Archer
''Spanish Archer'' was a talent show of the 1990s, hosted by Rhodri Williams and occasionally Ruth Madoc. It was produced by L!VE TV and filmed at the station's headquarters at Canary Wharf in London. The title for the show derives from the phrase meaning rejection, where "Spanish Archer" would be said to translate to "El Bow", hence "Given the elbow". The TV show deliberately took this in a very literal manner, and expanded the joke as far as it possibly could. Content The show would begin with Willams arriving on the set of a cartoon Spanish village, dressed in a Robin Hood style outfit, complete with toy bow and arrow, and declaring "I am El Bow, I am the Spanish Archer". The contradictions of the supposedly Spanish character, such as the costume, and Williams' undisguised Welsh accent, were played for laughs. Sathnam Sanghera
Sathnam Sanghera FRSL (born 1976) is a British journalist and best-selling author. Early life and education Sathnam Sanghera was born to Indian Punjabi parents in Wolverhampton in 1976. His parents had emigrated from India to the UK in 1968. He was raised a Sikh. He attended Wolverhampton Grammar School, an independent school where he had gained a place after passing the 11+ examination and was funded by the government's Assisted Places Scheme. He graduated from Christ's College, Cambridge, with a first-class degree in English Language and Literature in 1998. Janet Vera Street-Porter (''née'' Bull; born 27 December 1946) is an English broadcaster, journalist, writer, and media personality.
