Kvina
Kvina is a river in Southern Norway. The long river begins in the Setesdalsheiene mountains in the municipality of Valle in Agder county and it flows south, along the former Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder county border, through the Kvinesdalen valley, and emptying into the Fedafjorden, just south of Liknes in Kvinesdal municipality. The river has a watershed. The river is rich in fish. In 2014, about of salmon was caught in the river Kvina. The river runs through the villages of Netland, Storekvina, and Liknes. Power generation The river passes through a number of lakes that are regulated for hydropower including the Roskreppfjorden, Øyarvatn, Kvifjorden, and Homstølvatnet. Kvinesdal
Kvinesdal is a municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the traditional district of Lister. The administrative centre of the municipality is the village of Liknes. Other villages in Kvinesdal include Feda, Fjotland, and Storekvina. Kvinesdal is an elongated mountain-to-coast municipality, reaching saltwater at the head of the Fedafjorden, which provides access to the North Sea in the south. Kvifjorden
Kvifjorden is a lake in Agder county, Norway. THe lake straddles the borders of the municipalities of Bygland, Kvinesdal, and Sirdal. The lake was created when a dam was built along the Kvina river. Fedafjorden
Fedafjorden is a fjord in Agder county, Norway. The is located in the municipalities of Kvinesdal, Flekkefjord, and Farsund. The long, narrow fjord runs south from the mouth of the river Kvina to the Listafjorden. The fjord is long and only about wide. The village of Feda is located at the northwestern side of the fjord, just west of the Fedafjord Bridge on the European route E39 highway. Near the mouth of the fjord, at the south end, lies the island of Andabeløya. The majority of the fjord lies in Kvinesdal municipality, but the mouth of the fjord is split between the municipalities of Flekkefjord and Farsund. Liknes is the administrative centre of Kvinesdal municipality in Agder county, Norway. The village is located along the river Kvina, about north of the mouth where it empties into the Fedafjorden. The village of Storekvina lies about to the north of Liknes. The village has a population (2015) of 2,462 which gives the village a population density of . Tonstad Power Station (''Tonstad kraftverk'') is a hydroelectric power station located in the municipality of Sirdal in Agder county, Norway. The station is in Tonstad, at the northern end of the lake Sirdalsvatnet. Rosskreppfjorden
Rosskreppfjorden is a lake in Norway. The lake lies on the border between the municipalities of Valle and Sirdal in Agder county. The lake is part of the Kvina river system and has a hydroelectric power plant in a dam on the south end of the lake. The dam keeps the lake at an elevation of about above sea level. The lake flows south into the Øyarvatnet lake. Rosskreppfjorden is located about southwest of the village of Valle and about east of the village of Lysebotn. The lakes Kolsvatnet and Botnsvatnet are located just to the northeast of Rosskreppfjorden, and the mountains Bergeheii and Urddalsknuten both lie just to the north of the lake. Homstølvatnet
Homstølvatnet or Eptevatn is a lake in the far western part of the municipality of Froland in Agder county, Norway. It is located about east of the village of Byglandsfjord (in Bygland municipality) and about northwest of the village of Mykland in Froland. The lake was expanded in 1973 when a dam was built at the south end of the lake Eptevatn for the purposes of hydroelectric power generation. The dam made the lake larger so that it now includes the formerly separate lake Homstølvatnet as one large lake. The lake is now large and it holds about as a reservoir for the power station.
