The Royal Brunei Mausoleum ( ms, Kubah Makam Diraja Brunei) is a Royal Mausoleum of Brunei located at Jalan Tutong, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The Mausoleum is the main resting place and burial ground for several Sultans of Brunei and members of the Royal Family. The Royal Mausoleum was opened during the reign of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin I who later became the first monarch to be buried in the Mausoleum when he died in 1795. Before the establishment of the Royal Mausoleum, the past Sultans of Brunei were buried at Kianggeh Muslim Cemetery, Luba Royal Mausoleum, Pulau Chermin Royal Cemetery and Tanjong Kindana Royal Mausoleum. Architecture The large domed mausoleum building atop of a hill overlooking Kampong Ayer was built during the reign of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III in 1965. Abdul Momin
Abdul Momin (; ; 1788 – 29 May 1885) was the 24th Sultan of Brunei from 1852 until his death in 1885. Early life He was the son of Pengiran Shahbandar Pengiran Anak Abdul Wahab and grandson of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin I. He was also the brother in law of Sultan Hashim Jalilul Alam Aqamaddin. Pengiran Jaya (1925 – 18 October 2009) was a nobleman and the first Brunei local to be appointed as Brunei's Commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) and appointed as the Brunei High Commissioner to several countries. Ismail Omar Abdul Aziz
Dr. Awang Haji Ismail bin Omar Abdul Aziz was the first state mufti of Brunei under the Ministry of Religious Affairs office, later State Mufti Office. ''Al-Marhumah Yang Teramat Mulia Pengiran Babu Raja'' Pengiran Anak Hajah Besar (24 September 1928 – 16 October 2016) was the wife of Pengiran Anak Mohammad Alam and the mother of Pengiran Anak Saleha, the Queen Consort of Hassanal Bolkiah, the 29th Sultan of Brunei. Biography Besar was born on 24 September 1928; her father was Pengiran Anak Metassan. She married Pengiran Anak Mohammad Alam in 1943. Ahmad Tajuddin Akhazul Khairi Waddien ( Jawi: ; August 22, 1913 – June 4, 1950) was the 27th Sultan of Brunei from 11 September 1924 until his death.
