''Krishnagudiyil Oru Pranayakalathu'' () is a 1997 Indian Malayalam-language romance film written and directed by Kamal, starring Jayaram, Manju Warrier, Balachandra Menon, Biju Menon and Vinaya Prasad. Plot Meenakshi, after her father's death, joins her brother, Pavithran and sister in law, Uma at ''Krishnagudi'', a small fictional village in Andhra Pradesh as Pavithran and Uma are Army officers posted there. Kamaluddin Mohammed Majeed, mononymously known as Kamal, is an Indian film director, screenwriter, and producer. He works in Malayalam cinema. He was the former Chairman of Kerala State Chalachitra Academy. Kamal made his directorial debut with the 1986 film ''Mizhineerppoovukal''. The Kerala State Film Awards are the film awards for a motion picture made in Kerala. The awards started in 1969 by the Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Kerala and since 1998 the awards have been bestowed by Kerala State Chalachitra Academy on behalf of the Department of Cultural Affairs. Girish Puthenchery (1961–2010) was a noted Malayalam Lyricist, Poet, Scriptwriter and Screenwriter. He was always referred to as the aristocratic lyricist of Malayalam who had a distinctive writing style of his own. He also served as the director of Indian Performance Rights Society Malayalam division (I.P.R.S) and governing council member of the Kerala Kalamandalam and Kerala Lalithakala Academy.
