Stiliyan Kovachev
Stiliyan Kovachev ( bg, Стилиян Ковачев) (born on 26 February 1860 in Yanbolu (Yambol), died on 11 July 1939 in Sofia) was a Bulgarians, Bulgarian general. During the First Balkan War he commanded the Rodopi Detachment and later 4th Army. He was a Minister of Defense for short time in the beginning of the Second Balkan War in the government of Stoyan Danev (1913). Biography Stiliyan Kovachev was born on 26 February in Yanbolu (Yambol), then under Ottoman rule. He received his elementary education in Yanbolu and in İslimiye (Sliven). Since early age he entered the Yambol Revolutionary Committee where he assisted Dimitar Drazhev helping for the correspondence of the committee. When the April Uprising broke out the ''cheta'' of Drazhev joined the squad of Ilarion Dragostinov and Stoil Voyvoda. During battle to the north of Sliven, Georgi Drazhev was captured by the Turks and hanged on 29 June 1876, but Kovachev managed to escape the gallows. After the Liberation of B ...

Martin Kovachev ( bg, Мартин Ковачев; born 13 March 1982) is a Bulgarian footballer, currently playing as a defender for Makedonija. Career Kovachev played for Velbazhd Kyustendil, Spartak Varna, Litex Lovech and Dunav Rousse before moving to Chernomorets in June 2008 for a free transfer. With the club Kovachev played in a matches of Intertoto Cup 2008 against Slovenian ND Gorica and Swiss Grasshopper Club Zürich. Six months later he is loaned to Naftex Burgas. On 5 July 2009 Kovachev signed three years contract with OFC Sliven 2000. On December 29, 2014, he signed with Pusamania Borneo FC. Pavel Kovachev ( bg, Павел Ковачев; born 27 July 1987 in Stara Zagora) is a Bulgarian footballer who plays for Lokomotiv Plovdiv as a defender. Career Kovachev started his career in his hometown in the youth teams of Beroe Stara Zagora. In 2007, he was sold to the Lithuanian side FBK Kaunas. After a year there, he returned to Bulgaria after he caught the eye of the CSKA Sofia scouts and signed with "The Armymen". He made his debut with CSKA in the last game of the 2008–09 season in the Bulgarian "A" Professional Football Group, which was a match against Lokomotiv Mezdra. CSKA Sofia won the game by a score of 2:1. In June 2009 Kovachev returned to his first club, signing a contract for two years.
