Konstantin V. Kostin (russian: Константин Костин, , born 4 September 1973) is a Latvian figure skater. He competed for the Soviet Union through 1991 and then for Latvia from 1992 to the end of his career in 2001. He is the 1992 World Junior silver medalist and 1992 Karl Schäfer Memorial bronze medalist. Personal life Kostin was born on 4 September 1973 in Riga, Latvia. He studied psychology in Russia at the Moscow Sociological Institute. Career Competitive Early in his career, Kostin represented the Soviet Union. He won the silver medal at the 1992 World Junior Championships, held in late 1991 in Hull, Canada. Oksana Alexandrovna Kostina (russian: Оксана Александровна Костина; 15 April 1972 – 11 February 1993) was a Soviet and Russian individual rhythmic gymnast. She was the 1992 World All-around champion and 1992 European All-around bronze medalist. Career For years, Kostina remained in the shadow of two Ukrainian gymnasts, Oksana Skaldina and Olexandra Tymoshenko. Though she won the all-around bronze medal at the 1992 European Championships, she was not selected for the Olympic Games in Barcelona. Klim Sergeyevich Kostin (russian: Клим Сергеевич Костин; born 5 May 1999) is a Russian professional ice hockey winger who currently plays for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL).
