Kopitiam Investment Pte Ltd, more commonly known as Kopitiam, is a Singaporean food court chain focused on local cuisine. Founded in 1988, it operates around 80 outlets at many locations across Singapore, including Changi Airport, Plaza Singapura, VivoCity and Jem. Kopitiam also owns three subsidary food court companies, Bagus, Cantine, and Sedap. Plaza Singapura is a contemporary shopping mall located along Orchard Road, Singapore, next to Dhoby Ghaut MRT station. The mall is managed by CapitaLand and owned by CapitaMall Trust. There are retail outlets over seven floors and two basements. The mall has a 752 lot seven-storey carpark at the rear of the building, and a two basement goods bay beneath it. Singaporean Hokkien is a local variety of the Hokkien language spoken natively in Singapore. Within Chinese linguistic academic circles, this dialect is known as Singaporean Ban-lam Gu.
