Konstantin Grcic
Konstantin Grcic ( sr-cyr, Константин грчић, born 1965) is a German industrial designer known for creating mass-manufactured items, such as furniture and household products. He has participated in leading design shows and his work can be seen in major museums. Described as having a pared down aesthetic, his functional designs are characterized by geometric shapes and unexpected angles. Background Grcic was born in Munich, Germany, in 1965, to a Serbian father from the former Yugoslavia and a German mother, and grew up in Wuppertal. The Red Dot Design Award is a German international design prize awarded by Red Dot GmbH & Co. KG. There are prize categories for product design, brands and communication design, and design concept. Since 1955, designers and producers can apply for the prizes, with the winners being presented in an annual ceremony. Winning products are presented among others in the ''Red Dot Design Museum'' on the premises of the historical Zollverein Coal Mine Industrial Complex in Essen. The Mikser Festival
The Mikser Festival is an annual exhibition promoting design, architecture, urban planning, new technologies, art, music, and communications in Serbia. It was founded in 2006 by architect Maja Vidaković Lalić. It invites international and local experts from creative industries. It features lectures, competitions, workshops, exhibits, concerts, films and theater plays. The festival occurs once a year in Belgrade at the end of May or the beginning of June, and usually lasts 4 to 7 days. The first one was held at the "Žitomlina" silo in the Dorćol area of Belgrade. It was subsequently held in Belgrade's once-derelict industrial zone of Savamala to help revitalize that area, before returning to Dorćol in 2017. Serpentine Gallery
The Serpentine Galleries are two contemporary art galleries in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park, Central London. Recently rebranded to just Serpentine, the organisation is split across Serpentine South, previously known as the Serpentine Gallery, and Serpentine North, previously known as the Sackler Gallery.
