Josei Jishin
is a Japanese weekly women's magazine, which has been in circulation since 1958. Published by Kobunsha, it is the first weekly women's magazine in Japan, which targets single- working women. History and profile ''Josei Jishin'' was established in 1958, and the first issue was published on 2 December 1958. The founding company is Kobunsha. The magazine is published on a weekly basis. It developed a collaboration with American youth magazine '' Seventeen'' and published its photographs during the initial years. In 1999 due to its fortieth anniversary the magazine was redesigned, including its logo. The magazine is the recipient of Fuji Sankei award for four times. Circulation ''Josei Jishin'' sold 705,399 copies in the second half of 1979. In 2006 the circulation of the magazine was 519,464 copies. ''JJ'' is a Japanese fashion and lifestyle magazine published by Kobunsha. It was established in 1975 as an extra issue of ''Josei Jishin'', and was the first women's magazine for college students in Japan. Most readers of ''JJ'' are females between the ages of 17 and 26, and range from college students to office workers. ''JJ'' advises its readers to dress conservatively. It uses many professional fashion models, however the models it uses are not necessarily under exclusive contract with ''JJ''. is a Japanese privately-held publishing company headquartered in Bunkyō, Tokyo. Miyuki Miyabe
is a Japanese writer of genre fiction. She has won numerous Japanese literary awards, including the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for New Writers, the Yoshikawa Eiji Prize for Literature, the Shiba Ryotaro Prize, the Yamamoto Shūgorō Prize, and the Naoki Prize. Her work has been widely adapted for film, television, manga, and video games, and has been translated into over a dozen languages. Early life and education Miyabe was born in Tokyo, Japan in 1960. Her mother was a seamstress and her father was an assembly line worker at a factory. She graduated from Sumidagawa High School, then attended a business training school before taking an administrative job at a law office. Career Miyabe started writing novels at the age of 23.
