Koala Lemur
''Megaladapis'' ("Great ''Adapis''" from Ancient Greek μεγαλος (megalos), "great, big" + Modern Latin ''Adapis'', "''Adapis''"), informally known as the koala lemur, was a genus belonging to the family Megaladapidae, consisting of three extinct species of lemurs that once inhabited the island of Madagascar. Its long arms, fingers, feet, and toes were specialized for grasping trees, and its legs were splayed for vertical climbing. Slash-and-burn agriculture is a farming method that involves the cutting and burning of plants in a forest or woodland to create a field called a swidden.
