Kin is a village in Ye Township in Mawlamyine District in the Mon State of south-east Myanmar. It is located on the right bank (northern side) of the Ye River The Ye River is a river of Burma. Mon State
Mon State ( my, မွန်ပြည်နယ်, ; mnw, တွဵုရးဍုင်မန်, italics=no) is an administrative division of Myanmar. It lies between Kayin State to the east, the Andaman Sea to the west, Bago Region to the north and Tanintharyi Region to the south, also having a short border with Thailand's Kanchanaburi Province at its south-eastern tip. The land area is . The Dawna Range, running along the eastern side of the state in a NNW–SSE direction, forms a natural border with Kayin State. Districts ( my, ခရိုင်, Kharuing; ) are the second-level administrative divisions of Myanmar. They are the sub-divisions of the States and Regions of Myanmar. According to the Myanmar Information Management Unit (MIMU), as of December 2015, there are 76 districts in Myanmar, which in turn are subdivided into townships, then towns, wards and villages. The District's role is more supervisory as the Townships are the basic administrative unit of local governance. A District is led by a District Administrator, a civil servant appointed through the General Administration Department (GAD) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA).
