Constituencies of Kenya are used to elect members of the National Assembly, the lower chamber of the Kenyan Parliament. In accordance with article 89 of the 2010 Constitution of Kenya, there are 290 constituencies, based on a formula where these constituencies were to be delineated based on population numbers. Makueni County
Makueni County (formerly Makueni District) is a county in the former Eastern Province of Kenya. Its capital and largest town is Wote. The county has a population of 987,653 (2019 census). The county lies between Latitude 1° 35' and 2° 59' South and Longitude 37° 10' and 38° 30' East. It borders Machakos to the North, Kitui to the East, Taita Taveta to the South and Kajiado to the West and covers an area of 8,008.9 km2. Patrick Mweu Musimba
The Hon. Dr. Patrick Musimba MP (born 4 January 1970 in Kibwezi, Kenya) is a Kenyan politician and Member of the National Assembly representing the Kibwezi West Constituency in Makueni County.He is now vying for the gubernatorial seat of Makueni county in the 2022 elections. He was first elected to Parliament in March 2013 as an independent candidate, but announced in June 2019 that he was joining the Wiper party. Musimba earned a Doctor of Philosophy Degree (PhD) in Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development, and a Master of Science Degree (MSc) in Entrepreneurship, at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. He also has a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (BCom) from the University of Nairobi.
