Kevin Carlberg
Kevin Carlberg (April 28, 1977 – August 29, 2009) was an American vocalist and acoustic guitarist. Carlberg is best known as the vocalist and acoustic guitarist of Pseudopod. He completed a solo CD with producer Dito Godwin. Carlberg was diagnosed with brain cancer. He enrolled in an experimental immuno-therapy treatment at UCLA called the dendritic cell vaccine and after 5 years of remission, the tumor had not returned. On September 5, 2008 Carlberg was featured on the one-hour "Stand Up 2 Cancer" tele-cast and has been the subject of other notable news casts and articles. On August 29, 2009, Carlberg died from brain cancer. Jazz Rock
Jazz fusion (also known as fusion and progressive jazz) is a music genre that developed in the late 1960s when musicians combined jazz harmony and improvisation with rock music, funk, and rhythm and blues. Electric guitars, amplifiers, and keyboards that were popular in rock and roll started to be used by jazz musicians, particularly those who had grown up listening to rock and roll. Jazz fusion arrangements vary in complexity. Some employ groove-based vamps fixed to a single key or a single chord with a simple, repeated melody. Others use elaborate chord progressions, unconventional time signatures, or melodies with counter-melodies. Pseudopod is an American rock band, formed in 1998 in Los Angeles, California. The band is perhaps best known for winning ''Rolling Stone''s award for the Best College Band in America contest in 200 The band bested over 1,000 other college bands from across the country to win the award. Pseudopod was formed in 1998 by Ross Grant, Tim McGregor, Brian Fox and Kevin Carlberg, who were all college students studying music at UCLA. Dito Godwin
Dito Godwin (1955–2021) was an American record producer and executive, best known for his production works with Mötley Crüe, Peter Criss and Ace Frehley of Kiss, Great White, and more recently No Doubt, Kevin Carlberg, The Stick People and Kristy Lee Cook of ''American Idol''. Biography Godwin started his career in New York as a musician touring with names like Black Sabbath before turning to the administrative and production roles he has worked in for over 25 years in the industry. A brain tumor occurs when abnormal cells form within the brain. There are two main types of tumors: malignant tumors and benign (non-cancerous) tumors.
