She has served as the CEO of the Smart car division since 2018 and head of the newly created division Mercedes-Benz Cars Own Retail Europe (cars and vans) at Daimler AG since July 2019. Early life and education Katrin Pärn was born in Tallinn to actor, theatre founder, and director Eino Baskin (1929–2015) and actress and politician Malle Pärn (born 1945).
